Stopped into this store after walking by and seeing some fun looking socks on display. Asia greeted me immediately and was extremely friendly, fun and helpful. She engaged with me while I was browsing by explaining current sale prices and pointing out items that she liked, and thought I might want to take a look at them also. Asia was very patient with me and was simply a pleasure to deal with. I left with 5 neckties for $10-15 less per tie than I routinely pay at other stores, in addition to being of superior quality. Yes, their products are very nice, and the price I paid for the ties was great - but I am writing this review because of the experience I had with Asia, who effortlessly made this an extremely positive shopping experience for me - the colors of the fabrics being made brighter, all thanks to her endless smile. Expect to see me again! Thank you Asia!!!
I have shopped in this store location at Union Station Washington, D.D., several times the last 5 years and have had 100 % Customer Service each and every time. Today, 12/23/19 at 2:40pm I walked in and all I got was a hello from the two sales personnel; never once did they ask me if I needed help. They were talking to a customer but one of them I felt could have asked me if I needed any help. I’ve been shopping for my Dad in this store for many many years and I have never been so disappointed. I left out of the store without my purchase. I will try another JOS BANKS store TOMORROW. Truly disappointed. This was not the service I expected from such a great store.
My experiences at this location have been hit or miss. The sales staff is typically pretty helpful regardless if you're buying or just looking, but every once in a while you'll get someone who doesn't want to help you if they think they're not going to get a sale which is typically their fault because they don't stock some items at this location. One issue I've experienced here which seems to be an ongoing trend at the Jos A. Bank locations I frequent is the managers can be very unpleasant. On one hand you have the sales guys that want to help you, then there's a manager who gives the impression that they don't want to help you or that you're a bother to them. For this reason, I will make my purchases online whenever possible - only having to deal with a manager when I'm making a return. Jos A. Bank should really get a handle on the type of people they put in manager positions. It's one thing to be a good manager of employees, but customer service is still a requirement in a position like this.
The tailor was rude and unprofessional. I call the store ahead of time to see I can get my non Jos. A. bank suit tailor after a month ago of buying 2 suits from them. They said yes but the tailor said no. She yelled and was very unprofessional. They have lost my business for good.
I have been here for an hour and a half to get a suit for a wedding I am in. This required the staff to look up the group number in the computer and sell me the suit... I am still standing here while they try and work the computer. Even if you have to uber, walk, or dogsled to a different DC location, it will be worth it.
When you plan to visit this particular location, please budget around an hour for anything involving an employee, especially when their rental or online system is included. Their staff, while courteous, is incapable of navigating anything electronic or communicating with other divisions/headquarters.
Australia and Asia, yes that really is their names, were excellent in assisting me in my five suits that I purchased. Highly recommend asking for them!
Please for the love of GOD do not come to this location. I hope you read the reviews and learn from my mistake.
The employee's attitude needs to be improved.
