José's Cuban Sandwich & Deli

I've only discovered this place late last year. Getting food from a place that is connected to a gas station isn't usually on my radar. But I like this place a lot, which they probably realize by now as I eat here way too often now. I'll be honest, this is my only experience with Cuban food, so I don't know how it stacks up with other places, but I find it good and the prices are very reasonable. Also, the employees here are really great, which also influences me to return often. Highly recommend giving them a shot.

I'm from Detroit, I find most highly rated places in Lansing disgusting but this place was surprisingly pretty good. I ordered the chicken platter. My only complaint is they give so much WHITE plain, non seasoned white rice. It was sticky ,dry, flavorless naturally I wish they had put the beans and juice from beans over the rice, salsa something. The side salad and black beans was a small amount. The flavorless large amount of white rice was my only real gripe.The fresh cilantro was a nice touch the chicken and everything else was good. I would go back. But ask for beans to go over rice next time.

Dont get thrown off by the building. Yep, it's a gas station, and the restaurant is in the back. Friendly staff, quick service, and awesome food. Definitely worth a stop.

We love the food! Rice and beans or the cheesecake are favorites. Definitely try the hot sandwiches. Delivery is fast too! A+

We were staying in town for an anime convention where we were working and ordered delivery. It was so good that we ordered it for dinner again the next day! Both times the delivery was fast and we were incredibly happy. The cheesecake was especially amazing. Thanks for keeping us fed!
