Journey Theater Arts Group

I learned about Journey Theater from a high school friend seven years ago, and I continue to watch their plays with my family quite often. Also, my younger sister took a class from them a couple of years ago and had an excellent experience. Her classmates were all kind, as well as the teachers. It's evident that the people here aren't just focused on art, they are focused on being good people too. Even if you are not related to any of the performers, I think it's a wonderful program to watch quality plays in the Vancouver and Portland metro area. Good prices and they typically have good venues. A lot of the performers are young, but these aren't just typical high school plays. It's clear that the performers are passionate about their work, and every production I've seen has been amazing. They're full of character. All of the productions are family-friendly, but they perform most of the big ones, especially Disney classics like Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, even Newsies. I look forward to continue watching them.

I have been within the Journey family for about 2 years now and it has been a blast! Last year when I was cut from my first audition, it helped me grow as a person and as a Christian. I would highly recommend this theater community if you are looking for some awsome friends like the ones I have.

Getting our children involved in Journey Theater Art Group is one of the best parenting decisions we have made! Not only have we seen growth in our girls in their acting, singing and dancing skills but we have also watched their confidence blossom, their empathy and patience mature and they've made a lot of friends! It's been an activity that our whole family can be involved in and our children have such fun doing! We are SO happy we found JTAG!

My grand-daughter is enrolled in Journey and is having a fantastic time 2014-2015. This is a great group for a child of any age to join - there are so many things available for them to learn in an encouraging environment, from drama to voice to dance. Also, the opportunities to learn what goes on backstage as well. What could be more fun for a child than learning to play in a constructive way!

My family has been involved with this organization and have nothing but praise. Highly recommend to any families that want their children to be involved in a loving Christian community while performing live theater.

I have been apart of the Journey family for about 10 years and I can say without a doubt that those ten years have been the best years of my life. Being apart of Journey is such a fun privilege, that I thank the Lord for every day. There are so many amazing experiences that came along with Journey. Experiences like, getting to preform on a stage in front of large audiences with all your friends. Or being a different person for a day and escaping reality. And getting to sing your heart with no judgement from anyone, because everyone else is doing the same. Not only is Journey so much fun, but Journey also teaches you so many things. Professionalism, leadership, responsibility, diligence, kindness and teamwork are only a few of the great character qualities you learn about from being in Journey. And the number one thing that I love about Journey, is the people. Being apart of Journey, you feel like you're apart of a family and something larger then life. Everyone in Journey is so accepting and kind and you're not afraid to be yourself. Joining Journey Theater Arts Group was the best decision I ever made.

Journey theater is an amazing organization. They put on high quality performances and help bring up responsible and polite young actors and actresses. It's a great place for young people to get exposed to theater in a safe environment.

Best theater company in the pacific north west! Welcoming, inclusive, supportive, uplifting, and not aggressively competitive. Teaching students values and responsibility through both theater classes and main stage musicals. With parent involvement, families are brought closer together. Quality productions every term!

Journey Theater groups are wonderful! The actors, crew etc are so talented! I truly enjoy & look forward to their plays!

I was incredibly impressed with the production value of their recent rendition of Beauty and the Beast. The scenery and costumes were very well done!
