Great price, used to be $5 a dish but has gone up to $7 for most. Quality is great! Great menu for a food truck. Wait time can be long due to high order. We usually text in our order ahead of time. Don’t always have every item as soon are limited, while supply last. Small parking. I usually park at the other lot and walk down. On busy street.
1st time here! It’s excellent and fresh. I only had one bite of both my hot wing and some of the lo mein. When I return I want to try the sausage. Low key location great for lunch ..later back to my plate!
I really enjoy Laotian food, so when I found out about this place I was looking forward to trying it. Covid-19: the truck is parked outside V & K Asian Market. You can text the number on the menu photos with your order in advance. They'll let you know what specials are available too. We got Papaya Salad medium spice, Chicken Larb, Beef Larb, 3 piece Lao Sausage Combo, and Sugar Cane Juice. I honestly wasn't a huge fan of anything. The best thing was the Lao Sausage. The Larb was very dry. The Papaya Salad was ok. I like spicy food and medium was too spicy, so I'd go way below your normal spice level. I've had all of these dishes at other Lao restaurants before and loved them, I just wasn't a big fan here.
I order from this food truck at least once a week! Food is always fresh and service is always quick! I usually get the papaya salad SPICY w/ extra lime and the Lao sausage combo with the sticky rice and every single time it hits! when I do switch it up I’ll get their pad se ew with extra bok choy. I even have them cater my kid’s birthday parties! I love them Their little Asian market is always well stocked as well! Great hidden gem in the QC and very close to Charlotte Douglas Airport.
I am in love with the food here. Everything is delicious but my favorite dishes are the kapoon, lao sausage, papaya salad and sticky rice with laab. I cant forget to mention their strawberry milk drink either, always a treat! They have a number you can text to place orders so super convenient if you get anxious with placing orders via phone call. I have to stop myself from ordering their food every day. Definitely try this place out if you get a chance. They are so reasonably priced and such an amazing group of people. You can even get some asian groceries while you wait to pick up your food from the truck.
Yummy! We had pad Thai and pad see ew. Pad Thai was very flavorful, loved it. Pad see ew was bland compared to pad Thai. We mixed them together and was perfect lol. Thai ice tea was super sweet for me. I think we consume way too much sugar as a society… but, I added more ice and was better. Looking forward to trying other items on the menu. Price is really good at $7 or $8 a dish. But I’m used to California pricing.
Friendly food truck and extremely good food. I wish I could’ve shared how good my food smelled. The #18 was delicious
A cool low key spot: After vistint some Asian supermarkets across the city I decided to lookiny into/visit Jp Food To Go and nearby market. The setup/ atmosphere was laidback and had decent selection a lot of Thailand imports. Order the Papaya Salad from the food truck nearby, service was prompt and respectful and the salad has a earthy/unique taste.
Best authentic Lao food… the papaya salad is just like how my Mom makes it! I don’t mind driving 45 mins to the other side of Charlotte for this place - TOTALLY WORTH EVERY BITE!
Food was hot, fresh, affordable, and pretty tasty. I wish they had more options, but I will definitely come back to try other items on the menu.Food: 4/5
