Best kimchi udon I ever had! The mushroom appetizer was so good. Highly recommend :Food: 5/5
Wow so delicious food! Every dish, I think I had the best miso soup and salt pepper mushrooms were divine! can’t wait to be back and try other food. Great and fast service! Went back for my husband’s bday dinner and it was amazing. We got so much food but each dish was incredibly tasty!
Absolutely loved this place. Fully vegetarian, I eat mostly vegan and this is what I would call a nice asian vegan place. I went with a friend, we ate inside and the owner was very kind. We had the drinks although the mint drink was a bit too sweet for me, but the food in general was delicious. Would definitely come here again.Food: 5/5
We had a very good lunch at Jujube Tree. We happened to be going to try Andrew Bellucci’s great pizza on the same block. After a slice we came to Jujube because we felt like eating rice. The owner was really nice and fast. The food was delicious. We had steamed dumplings for an appetizer, Vegan BBQ ribs lunch special, House Special Fried Rice. We enjoyed all!
I’ve been to Jujube Tree quite a few times and this was actually the first restaurant I ate at when I moved to Astoria! I absolutely love it and their lunch special is such a great deal. Yummy dishes heavy on the veggies and great sauces. Also they have good bevs and drinks. An Astoria staple and must go with your vegan/veggie/plant based/kosher peeps :
We visited on an early Saturday morning 11:50am after being in Astoria for a personal matter. It took some time to have our order taken, but we didn’t mind, because we knew we came early and they were still setting up/prepping. Once our order was taken the food came quick! Starters we had: - scallion pancake - curry puffs - tender seitan skewers - BBQ satay tempeh Main dishes we had: - smoked teriyaki seitan - vegan BBQ ribs We truly had a great heavy brunch. Service was good, food was good. If we’re in the area again, we’d def come back for more from Jujube Tree! I absolutely recommend dine in/delivery/take out to everyone who’s in the neighborhood or is simply visiting like we did on a Saturday morning around noon, because they open at 11:45am.
It a little family owned vegan restaurant in Queens. We went for lunch, ordered Pad Thai and Udon noodles. Each item was delicious and amazing. Servers were kind and owner was very cheerful
11.06.2017 5* @ Y Fulfilled every expectation I had. Having seen all the wonderful pictures, now I was able to experience it. I can tell you it was delicious, fresh and refreshing. Got to please my taste buds with new flavors, which I love discovering. Thanks. I tried Hot & Sour Soup, Steamed Vegetable Dumplings and Fried Rice w. Pineapple, accompanied by a Passion Fruit Lemonade. Hmmm thinking 'bout that Peanut Butter Bomb. 04.30.2019 4* Still very good selection and variety. Having tried other Vegan places, JJT may seem at time slightly stock preparation and ingredients. Missing slightly that zest from other places in NYC. Still fun to explore.
This has been my favorite vegan Asian restaurant, close to home, for the past 3 years. It never disappoints! Do yourself a favor and order the crispy soy protein appetizer. The plum dipping sauce is the perfect addition to some outstanding crunch. I usually order their vegan bbq ribs, but this time I ordered the orange seitan, and it didn’t disappoint. Their sauces and veggies are always amazing. The service is fantastic and the restaurant has a very nice calm vibe.
Jujube Tree is a nice spot for tasty Chinese/Asian food with the one rule that it's all vegan. I'm not vegan but I enjoyed the General Tso Fried Tofu plate very much. Good texture, not loose it soggy. Really good veggie dumplings too. The atmosphere is nice even when it got busy mid way into my meal. It's a bit on the pricey side for a vegan menu ~$16 per entree but it's worth it if you are looking for a truly meat-free experience. I'd surely go again.
