When heading out to the wide open sea...not better port to leave from. Spend some time in NOLA before an after your cruise.
P&O Ventura in New Orleans
We were afraid that boarding the NCL ship would take all day, but we made it from the front doors to stepping on the ship in just under 1.5 hours. Not bad for boarding 6,000 guests during the busiest boarding time. The staff weren't all smiles and friendly, but we did come across a few. That's to be expected these days.
The terminal itself was a little dirty, especially the bathrooms...yikes! But the people working there were super nice and helpful. The lines moved quickly, which is important.
The embark/disembark process went so smoothly in New Orleans, which was so far removed from my experience in Seattle last year. Efficiency at Julia Street Terminal is top notch.
This is one of my most memorable places while in New Orleans before my wife and I went on our 1st cruise! The security makes you feel quite comfortable..and the staff are friendly!
This is an above average cruise terminal, I've been in several and this one is easily top 5
