**WARNING** DO NOT USE THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. Literally the worst company to deal with. I don't even have to type much because their reviews speak for themselves and I agree with every single BAD review on here.
I initially called K&D because they are the only appliance repair place that services Liebherr. I was hesitant based on the other reviews but had no choice. They answered my call promptly, set up an appointment within two days and the service person came within the scheduled time amazing!. He was able to fix my refrigerator without much fuss and was incredibly professional and courteous. Over the last two years they have been to my house three or four times for different reasons and I have always found their service to be exceptional. The woman who answers the phone is always friendly and if she doesn’t have the answer, she calls back again, amazing!. I’m so pleased I found them and can’t recommend them enough.
Unlike some who report a bad experience, I could not have been more pleased with K&D Service. As authorized technicians for my Fisher & Paykel refrigerator, they came and rapidly analyzed my problem. After attempting to get me a better deal from the manufacturer, Fidencio came to my home a second time and fixed everything. He was very capable, neat and kind. Ruby, in the office, was a pleasure to work with. Because of some bad reviews, I was hesitant to use K&D but they scheduled the service calls promptly and showed up right in the time slot I was given. Most importantly, they solved my problem. I highly recommend this company.
They must be the WORST appliance repair technicians in all of the Hudson valley! They could not reliably do a simple repair on our washing machine and in turn caused more damage/issues. Consider this your warning!
Horrible and unresponsive. Worst customer service ever. I called them because they were listed as a local contact on Frigidaire's call line, but when called for an appointment, they promised to call me back with a confirmed time.. and they never did. I called them back the next morning, and she seemed annoyed that I couldnt wait for a call from her. I told her I needed to make arrangements, but she just told me I'd have to wait. I was moking an appointment for the next morning and she wanted me to wait for the evening.. because she wanted to secure more business for the day and coordinate the travel between the jobs. Not my problem. She seemed insulted that I even asked for a time confirmation. DONT DO IT!!! They dont care either way if they get your business. Pro tip: if you're waiting to secure more work before you confirm your potential clients, you might actually be losing those that already committed. Lesson for me as well... now I know to check a rating before I call a business. They have 1.5 stars for a reason.
The technician was excellent; fully explained the problem and gave me the heads up to call the company on a warranty repair. The office, on the other hand, leaves a little more to be desired- I asked for the earliest morning appointment and, when they called the day before to give me my service window, I was given 10-2. When I said I could probably not make it because it was in the middle of the day, they said I could reschedule and ask for the earliest time slot, as early as 7am…. but that's what I had already did! The final straw was when the technician told me my repair was going to be expensive so the company would more than likely send a new refrigerator that he'd install when it arrived. Since I couldn't find the receipt to validate the warranty, I just bought a new refrigerator and call K&D back to have it installed. Apparently, they now don't do installations in my area?!? Huh?
6 trips to my house, 6 days off work without pay. This was a brand new fridge still in warranty and they could not fix it yet. Promised a call back from the manager, no call. Receptionist promised a call back, no call. The last time they were here I called within 2 hours to tell them they didn't fix it and they didn't care, "there's no repairman in the area anymore." Frigidaire doesn't care about their customers and neither does K & D. Look elsewhere for help, this place is not where you will get it.
We have a Danby wine cooler that was not working. The temperature display showed it to be 59 degrees, but the system was running and freezing the wine. K & D came out a did an estimate for $75 plus tax, telling us we needed a new compressor, dryer and control board. After 2 additional weeks they came back and told us the compressor was not available and we should purchase a new unit. Knowing a bit about how things work, it seemed to me that the temperature sensor might be the problem. I got online to and found the part for $3.69 plus $6 shipping. After I found where it was located in the unit it took me a while as there are no diagrams I could find, it was a 60 second job to pop out the holder, unplug and replace the sensor, and pop the holder back into the inside of the cooler. VOILA! It has been running perfectly since I did this. As a true lay person, I deeply resent the poor service K& D provided by misdiagnosing the problem, attempting to sell me on a massive repair that would not have even fixed the problem, and then telling me I needed a new unit when a part costing less than $4 would have fixed it. Be very cautious of using this company.
I worked with K&D through Frigidaire. They picked up and serviced my wall A.C really quick. Most of all i was extremely happy with my technician FIDENCIO G., he was very knowledgeable and worked fast and accurate! Thank You
They’re only getting 1 star because zero stars is not an option. Multiple cancellations 5 to be exact, numerous requests to speak with the manager and never once heard from him. They call to confirm a delivery but then are a no show. They also lie and claim to call or knock on the door but it’s simply not true. Avoid at all costs.
