I did a volunteer day for the Lo'i clean up. Very rewarding and a great way to learn about Native Hawaiian culture. The staff were super friendly, and it's a great place for all ages, even small kids. On the plus side they provided lunch for us I don't know if they always do that. Mahalo for a great experience!
