Don't walk on the grass! Take a tour and learn the history of King Kamehameha! It is worth it! And, please, for the love of God, no corny DBZ jokes! Too awesome... I am a fan of Hawaii 5-0 both today and in the 70's and always thought the statue was cool... and getting to see it in person was amazing! His palace is in the background, and Iolani Palace is right across the street

This is a must see monument when you visit Oahu. I’d say, take a day and book a tour at the palace, go to the Art museum, and just walk around this area to take in all the beauty. There are several historical markers with great information to learn about Hawaiian history. Go out and enjoy all Hawaii has to offer!

Great historical area. Recommend taking one of the trolley tours, specifically the red line trolley to see all the hot spots while learning rich hawaiian history.

Honestly only came to visit this icon because it was featured heavily on the Hawaii Five-0 remake. Definitely recommend visiting anyway as there are some informative plaques on the statue, which make for an interesting visit.

I was so happy to see this in person…I felt like I was in an episode of Hawaii 5-0 ! seriously though the statue is majestic!!!
