Story

Conveniently located just two miles west of I-435 in western Shawnee, Kansas City Ice Center offers a variety of different opportunities for people of all ages. Home of the Stars youth hockey organization, KCIC is dedicated to providing a fun, safe, and educational environment. KCIC also offers Learn to Play Hockey classes, Learn to Skate classes for adults and children, as well as Freestyle, Stick & Puck, and Public Skate times.

Great place for the family. Went for a public skate on a sunny Sunday. Maybe 30 to 40 people there, so the ice was pretty open. They have "walkers" to help those just learning which was nice. Skate guards and others were helpful for anyone just learning. Will definitely be going back here.
The ice is of higher quality for the area. The phone is very rarely answered the first time you called. And Friday pick up hockey they oversell.
Nice rink. Pretty well set up. Safety measures in place to accommodate social distancing.
Love this place! They definitely have the knowledge and experience to take anyone to a whole new level.
Good facility. We traveled from Nebraska to play a couple friendly games and played on the indoor arena. Seating was good and plentiful to meet covid needs. Ice quality was nice. Solid selection of concessions too. Smooth covid sign in process. Well done.
A fun place to play some hockey. The lockerroom could use a major update but overall a decent facility. The outdoor rink adds a major boost in the winter months.
Great place. My kiddo had a great time learning how to skate. Everyone was very considerate
It's a great facility. 1 indoor and 1 outdoor rink w/ rentals, equipment sales and a snack bar. They also provide in-house instruction and have lockers for hockey games.
