Kansas Grown! Farmers' Market

Such a great event for the whole family. It is a free event, but you can buy amazing produce, baked goods to lawn decor. The kids enjoy balloon animals from Troubles the Clown. This is really the best Farmer's Market around! The do amazing events such as Kid's Day that caters to the kids! You can buy so many different items and it really is a joy to go every week!

First day of the season, lots to see and purchase. Managed to get enough supplies for two main dishes, corn meal for cornbread, a week of spring salads, and a lovely sculpture. The vendors were cold (21°), but happy to see everyone who came out. Lots of smiles, good conversation, and catching up since the end of the last season. I always feel great when I leave the market. When I prepare food during the week I think about each vendor and am grateful for what they brought to my plate.

Well, it was cold. I reckon I didn't get the full experience but the vendors that were there with veggies, meat, dairy, honey, soap, and cookies were all friendly and helpful. Those who braved the cold were eager to sell you their products.

Awesome Saturday morning activity with the family. We love Troubles the clown and his amazing balloon art!
