Kapadokya Mediterranean Grill

Traveling for work and found Kapadokya on my way from the airport to the hotel. It had 4.4 stars so I figured it had to be good. It's a shack off the side of the road with a gravel parking lot. That didn't bother me one bit but the parking was very tight. The Food: it was okay. I ordered the Mixed Grill Kebab and an order of hummus to go. I can't tell you how the hummus was because they didn't put it in the bag and I didn't want to drive 15min back. The Mixed grill was nothing special. The grilled chicken was fatty thigh meat but tasty, and the lamb gyro meat was dry and bland. The shish kebab (grilled beef) was actually very good. The rice was mushy like it had been in the steamer all day. This is the first Mediterranean restaurant I've been to that didn't bake their own bread. They literally gave me the end on the pita bag that had 3 pitas left in it. That wouldn't fly Michigan or Washington DC. To top it all off, this meal cost me $28.75 I did get a bottle of water too. I do NOT recommend this place based on my experience.

This place was okay. The location is very small, so I would not go there with a large party. I don't know what one of the sauces was that we were given with our food that was somewhat red/orange, but it was very spicy, flavorful & hit the spot. The baba ganoush, along with the hummus & tzatziki was somewhat bland -- not having flavors I expected. I'm not quite sure what region of Mediterranean food this is supposed to be. My research of Kapodokya leads me to believe it's Turkish food, while I'm used to Iranian versions of some of these foods. I suppose there are subtle differences that lead to large changes in taste & experience. I ordered the lamb kabob, which, itself was cooked properly & tasted great. One of my peers was disappointed in the service, as it took some time for them to notice when we needed help. I asked the person serving our food if she had sumac. She seemed excited that I knew what that was, but seemed to forget to give it to us. Thus, I had food with a lack of sumac :-( All & all, it was okay. I'd go back to try a few other things on their menu, but beyond that, I'd go elsewhere.

Small restaurant but good food. Kabobs were tender, the rice pudding was very good. The parking spot was rough..

Crazy prices not worth it rip off. Not the price for a store like that and food like that and service like that they think they are a restaurant they didnt even pave the parking its like am coming to a farm. Gyro with no fries for 7.00 in a tortilla wow wow wow the lentil soup too much salt to cover up the taste.

Great kebabs. The Doner Gyro was yummy. Fish with Pita my daughter loved.. the baklava at the end was very tasty as well
