Went in as a walk-in twice to register my out-of-state vehicle and it was a very easy process! The first time I was there, I didn't have all the papers I needed, and the staff was helpful to make sure I came back later with everything I needed. When I came back, it was very quick to get my paperwork processed. Highly recommend this location to anyone registering an out-of-state vehicle.
Both my mom & I had to renew our ID’s and we were out within 20 minutes. It’s so fast if you got everything in order. Making the appointment is the way to go.
If you want to know how it feels to be in a war zone just come to Kapolei at New Year Eve I can’t imagine any of the residents have any respect for their neighbors or surrounding houses. So scaring to be here vs the mainland . Such a damper on this beautiful island. If ever I would move to the one of the islands it wouldn’t be here and I believe it is like that on other islands. So so sad, I now know how it feels to be in areas of war zones…. NOT A Happy New Year feeling
I have been here multiple times and it has always been quick and easy. My latest trip was for a new driver's license. I hit up the AlohaQ website, got an appointment, filled out the application, got a listed of required documents and went to my appointment. Appointment took all of 10 minutes once I got inside the wait outside was about 7-10 minutes. Lady behind the counter was friendly and knowledgeable. She processed my papers quick, took my photo and sent me on my way. I was quite happy with my trip and have been with trips in the past.
Made an appointment for vehicle registration and out of state license, no problems at all, great service.
Came in as a walk-in on a Friday morning 8:05 AM for a permit renewal and service was amazing. I always was scared to go to the DMV but I was greeted by the lady checking me in and the person who helped me was named Syd unsure if that is how you spell it. But both ladies were amazing, in and out in under 10 minutes!
Very helpful employees and nearly no wait even for a walk in. Always an easy experience for the little inconvenient things like registering your car.
Believe it or not, DMV was totally helpful, and went through without a hitch. I came in to transfer a motorcycle title. The clerk was amazing; helpful to the point she was almost filling out the title itself! Thank you, Kapolei DMV!
I just paid for my car registration that was due in June. I had to make an appointment on aloha Q and this was the first available I could get. I find it upsetting that the late fee is not waived because they were closed and did not reopen until July. I was told there were 3 options to take care of the payment and I understood this but by the time we had funds for payment it was pass the 10 day grace period. We also tried to take care of it at a kiosk but it kept saying the vin number is not found. So what do we do? I tried to contact someone but of course all offices are closed and found that I must make an appointment and the next date available was Today July 7. The clerk kept arguing you have 3 ways and I said yes I understand and I tried but do you understand why I couldn’t do it? And she said there’s no waiver on the late fee. I should of asked for a manager. There should be a grace period the late fee can be waived, it was not our fault they were closed!
I made reservations ahead of time and when I showed up, everything was so well organized I was so impressed! They screened me through and I was out of there in about 12 minutes! Suggestion for those who plan to go there, fill out your application ahead of time before arriving at the city hall. The process is better than ever. Thanks to everyone there at Kapolei Satellite City Hall!!
