Kate is amazing! My husband, 16-month old son, and I had a family photo shoot in the Boston Public Garden in June 2019. Not only is Kate an exceptional photographer, she is super organized and has the process laid out so it’s easy if it’s your first time having family photos. I found her session guide incredibly helpful, especially if you’re like me and are clueless regarding outfit coordination and what to do and not do in a photo shoot. I also liked that Kate listed her favorite shoot locations in Boston and that helped in narrowing down our desired location. I also was grateful that Kate went above and beyond in assisting my family with our outfit selection and coordination. I was surprised how quickly Kate answered my emails and the amount of assistance she gave us throughout the process. I don’t know how to pose properly and Kate guided us throughout the entire session. Our session was a combination of both lightly posed and natural candid photos and it was the perfect mix in capturing great photos. I was shocked that I actually felt comfortable during the session and my husband felt the same. Kate did a great job of acting silly and playing with our little one throughout the session. It is clear she loves children and children feel the same about her. My shy boy warmed right up to Kate and she kept him smiling and entertained. Kate is also incredibly skilled in editing the photos to clean up any insecurities you may have flyaway hair, skin touch-up, etc.. When we received our final photos, I was shocked how beautiful they came out. She captured the playful spirit of our rambunctious toddler and some really sweet moments of the three of us. It is evident that Kate loves what she does and takes great pride in her work. It was clear that her goal was to have us happy with our photos and we were beyond happy with the final product. I highly recommend Kate to capture your family memories!

It was such a joy to have Kate photograph our family, and she did such a wonderful job capturing such amazing shots of our 6-month-old baby. I knew that I loved her photography style from her website, but was also very pleased by her organization and attention to detail in our communications leading up to the photoshoot. I don't have much experience being photographed and had anxiety about the location, choosing outfits, whether our sometimes-grumpy little boy would smile for the camera, etc. Kate was very reassuring and helped field all of my questions, and she even gave me tips/suggestions to prepare for the photoshoot. The actual hour we spent with her was high energy, fun, and productive! She is professional, loves playing with kids, and great at thinking on her feet. After the session, she kept me updated, delivered the proofs ahead of schedule, and then sent the final product just days afterwards! The photos themselves were absolutely beautiful works of art, and I loved all of them and now spend my free time looking at them. They really captured genuine smiles and the feelings of joy and love. Overall, I was so impressed with the whole experience! I can't wait to work with Kate again, and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a family photographer!

Kate did newborn photos for us, which included our three year old! She was absolutely fantastic. From the moment I reached out to book with her she was responsive, friendly and professional. During the session she was absolutely magic getting all of us, especially the toddler, to pose, laugh, and enjoy ourselves. She made it so easy. The final product photos were incredible. We have done other professional photos before and I can say Kate was the best experience we’ve had. Hope to work with her again!

Our family photoshoot with Kate was more than I could have ever hoped for! It is no small feat keeping a 3- and 6-year-old happy and engaged, but my kids had so much fun with Miss Kate that they kept asking when our next play date with her would be! From the moment I first contacted her until the day my final photos were ready for download, Kate was responsive, detail-oriented, full of helpful information, and a pure joy to work with! And the photos? Simply gorgeous. She is incredibly talented and captured my children's personalities beautifully. I wish I had found her sooner, but we'll definitely be working with her again!

We had a wonderful experience working with Kate for our family photos. We are a family of four, with both kids under the age of three. Our experience with Kate was wonderful. As a family of six, with young kids, we brought a lot of energy to the shoot, and she was able to expertly capture that through the photos. She was also very responsive to any questions. She would always email me back within a day or so when I contacted her. Kate was so friendly and worked incredibly well with the kids. She got down to their level and met them where they were comfortable. Finally, Kate works hard to make the photos available soon after the shoot! We highly recommend Kate!

Kate is hands down the BEST family photographer in Boston. She is MAGICAL with kids and knows how to make everyone feel comfortable, silly, and JOYFUL! Kate is amazing! She has photographed our family twice and is scheduled for a third session later this year. There are many photographers in Greater Boston from whom you could choose, and I think I looked at all of them before choosing Kate! I am sure some of those other photographers are fine, but here's what sets Kate apart from the rest: 1 Color - so many photos, especially of babies and young children, have the "Touched by an Angel" effect - all white and ethereal. Anyone with actual children knows this portrayal couldn't be farther from reality; their little lives are surrounded by new sights and sounds, so why not portray them that way? Kate does exactly that with very creative use of vibrant blankets and other items to let baby's budding personality shine brightly in a much more realistic setting. Best of all, these amazingly colorful images will look great hanging on your walls for years! 2 Authentic - most photographers - even ones who claim to be "natural" or "lifestyle" - produce stiff images, canned smiles, and awkward poses. Kate is somehow present in the sense that she arranges the photos, but simultaneously lets you be you, such that you almost forget you're being photographed. The resultant images are gorgeous snapshots of everyday moments. 3 Creative - One of our favorite Kate pictures was taken in a room at home that we had not planned to use for the photo session. When I looked at that space, I saw clutter and dust, but Kate saw soft light filtering through the windows and drapes that complemented our clothing perfectly. Another favorite photo actually had our family sitting on a blanket in a drainage ditch, but the photo backdrop is so beautiful you never would have guessed where we really were! She sees perfect pictures in even the strangest of settings, and the results are incredible. Kate isn't just a photographer, she's an artist. Spending even a few minutes with Kate, you will recognize tremendous talent, patience, and a winning personality that reflect exactly what a gifted photographer should be. I wouldn't trust my family photos to anyone else!

We hired Kate to take family photos of us with our two-month old son and dog. We selected Kate based upon her online reviews and website portfolio but the final product that we received far exceeded our expectations. So much so that we ultimately upgraded our package since we couldn't possibly choose from the photos she took. The colors and composition of her work are breathtaking. Neither my husband nor I are familiar with having professional photos taken, however, she could not have made us both more at ease. The session was fun and went very quickly. We have just received our photos yet we have already received many compliments and have even had friends ask for our photographer since they turned out so well. We will certainly use Kate again in the future.
