Kearsley Rehabilitation & Nursing Center

The nursing staff was caring and hard working. They were very empathetic to my care needs. I felt very well taken care of and they cared about my health. The THERAPY DEPARTMENT WAS EXCELLENT!!! Terry, James, Dennis, Luke, Alex and Jen. They challenge me to do better, they help me to push forward and I enjoyed working with them. Overall experience it was a good vibe and I highly recommend rehab at Kearsley.

This place is horrible. Back in 2017 my loved one was there for around ten days and almost died. They got worse by the day. They were only there for rehab. Staff is horrible and it’s like a horror scene. My mom kept telling me she kept feeling weaker and weaker each day. She was becoming incoherent. she started to not be able to go to the bathroom by herself or wash herself. Her head was slumped over, couldn’t sit up nor talk. She was able to talk before she went to Kearsley. . She couldn’t do anything that she did before she went to Kearsley. She would tell the rehab person and they would tell her it’s just in your mind and you’re not really sick. When my mom told me that I went and removed her. If I didn’t go and remove my mom and take her to the emergency room; my mom would have been dead on arrival. The emergency room doctor told me my mom would have been dead within 24hrs if I hadn’t brought her in and I did it with force. Kearsley tried to make me sign some release form because I was removing my mom.. I told them I’m not signing nothing only getting my mom out of there. Her sodium level dropped so low that she was cold to the touch, incoherent and the staff just kept saying oh she has a cold. She was actually slowly dying. Once I removed her out of Kearsley she had to be immediately put into the ICU unit for a couple of days and then to a regular room then she went to a really nice rehab, but do not let your love one go there if your love ones are there you better check on them every day. The hallways had blood stains on the floors it’s a horrible place and there is no way this place could ever receive a five star they should receive a -0 . Plus the staff ignores you and they have an extremely nasty attitude you cannot ask them no questions and they were rude! So when these reviews are still saying this place is a horrible place believe them and it’s now 2024!

I have been a fan of Kearsley Retirement Community for many years because the staff is friendly and attentive and give their residents the care and respect they deserve. I also want to complement their receptionist. She is always polite, cheerful and ready to help. Always makes you feel welcome! Keep up the good work! John W

I came here for rehabilitation to learn how to walk again. Therapy has been fantastic! They are very attentive, a gave me tips to be successful. The nurses have been great, China, Destiny and my CNA Mary were awesome. Kearsley helped me get back on my feet, I am so thankful for the staff at Kearsley. I recommend Kearsley in the highest regard.

I came to Kearsley for Physical Therapy for a severe foot injury. I was very happy with therapy, the nursing staff was excellent, always very professional. They helped make my stay a success. I absolutely recommend Kearsley for anyone needing rehabilitation.

The front desk receptionist was extremely rude and unprofessional. She answered the phone with a terrible attitude, and her voice was very monotone, lacking any emotion or personality. It seemed like she really hated her job. I had only spoken seven words before she abruptly hung up on me.

This facility is way better than any other SNF that I have been to for rehab. The care, the staff, the food and therapy was great! The nursing staff was great and therapy was helpful. They gave me hope that my future would be brighter! I would definitely recommend this rehab center to anyone who needs the opportunity to get stronger. I will highly recommend this center to my PCP at presbyterian hospital.

It saddens me to see all these 4&5 stars reviews knowing this place is barely a 1 star. This place is a horror house and the staff is rude, disrespectful and lazy. Administration is horrible to more like a joke they don’t care please don’t waste your time sharing your concerns with them. They’re always short. Always callouts. They get there staff to create false reviews of this place. Don’t be fooled. It’s nightmare on elm street. They don’t round on the patients. The rooms and patient bathroom are disgusting . They don’t answer call lights. They run and hide for hours especially night shift who always sleep. Then here comes the fake response from administration about your review. You didn’t care when my love one was there. So why respond now. Make it make sense. It’s nothing but a generated message anyway. no v.i.p is going to answer your call. more lies . I will be reporting this horror house sooner than later. Do not put your love ones in this place they will be neglected and mistreated.

My father came here for rehab after being discharged from the hospital. This place is horrible . it’s a horror house. From day one it’s been nothing but problems for my father. So much I had to force an early discharge because of this. The worst 9 days of his life. No one should be treated like this. I’m glad my dad call me every time something happens.They neglect the residents. Put double diapers on them so they don’t have to change them even to the people who can speak up. The rooms are dirty housekeeping don’t clean up. They only pull the trash. Bed pans throwed all over the place with dried up poop in them. They don’t have supplies. They serve small portions of food. If you ask for more they play like they called the kitchen of course nothing happens. Also with no questions ask they serve my father pork the first couple days of him being there. My father never ate pork. Most of nurses and cna’s are ignorant and rude. especially nurse ratchet Mary the night nurse who ignores the call Lights and extremely lazy and she refuses to give my father his pain medicine on time. She always saying she have to many patients so he has to suffer until she’s ready. And let’s not forget about Racist Emily the day shift nurse.The D.o.n Christine pretends like she listens to your concerns nothing happens. The same for the administrator Bryant .Erin the case manager. These 5 and 4 stars reviews are all lies. I will be bringing awareness to this facility and reporting them . these conditions and the way they treat the residents is so unfair. It’s all about a check from the state with them. They don’t care at all. Make sure you check on your love ones. Especially if they are coming here for rehab like my father who never had the chance to receive it like he should have. So much more to tell but I will save it for my report.Oh let me not forget they do fake investigations when you report there staff to them. Back to the racist day shift nurse Emily who told my dad why did he pick that time to go to the bathroom when the trays needs to be past out. The audacity. When he waited 30 min for some one to answer his call light. When I came to visit, hours after this happen she admitted it was poor judgment on her part. Gave out this fake apology with no remorse and kept mouthing off after being very sarcastic. I reported her to the supervisor thst day and the D.O.N the administrator the next day. we all know nothing will happen. That too will be brushed under the rug. Please advocate for your love ones. Check on them especially the ones who can’t speak up. Moral of the story they have the right one. I will continue to raised my voice until the right people listen and do something about this place. Always screaming patient rights but they don’t address them. I witnessed everything and more that said in my review. . DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVE ONES HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES…. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN ASAP

My mother stayed at Kearsley and let me just say the staff is amazing.so attentive also it smells so clean there. Definitely would recommend and the scenery outside is beautiful and its in a convenient location
