We contracted Lowe's to install our flooring. They contract Keller Interiors for install. Then Keller subcontracts the lowest bidder on the block. After waiting several months for the install. After moving our furniture to prepare for the job. The installer arrives, and immediately I can sense that he really doesnt want to do this job. It's a big job. Likely they aren't paying well enough to be worth their time. Fortunately he showed us the plans and then we see the massive amount of transitions they intended to use. The flooring would have looked like butcher block. This outfit is poorly managed and really knows little about flooring. They wouldn't budge on their design wasting our time and energy.
The cooperation and communication between Lowe's and Keller is pathetic. The only thing that gets this 3 stars is the install guy Dione. My initial review started as a 0 rating. However as awesome as a job he did it doesn't offset the headaches and hassle of calling and being transferred to someone who really cares. If all companies had a Dione in every position it would be great.
Very disappointed in the lack of communication. We went through Lowe's to get our kitchen island stoned in underneath the counter top. We purchased the materials and that sat in our garage for a month. It was almost impossible to get a hold of someone to book an appt. When we did, Keller called the day of the appt and said they were not able to come out, too many other jobs to complete that day. A week later they showed up and the contractor was surprised when I told him we were NOT putting in a back splash. He had our plans but for some reason thought we were doing a back splash. He then told us that it would take 2 days to complete. We were not told that. I asked then to speak with his manager, he said he would call him. Stepped outside and drove off. Called the Keller number several times and finally had someone bring him back. Currently, he is working on the island, hoping the quality is there.
Very poorly managed operation. Like the user above, I was introduced to Keller through Lowes. Terrible customer service, never keep to schedule, and absolutely no communication. Probably because they are shopping around for the cheapest sub-contractor. The best way to make money, Keller, is by good customer service and quality work. Don't lose business chasing a quick buck... Stay away from them!
