To be honest, I have been a patient of Dr. Chapman’s for just over a year. I have had two spinal surgeries lumbar/cervical and have been under a different pain doctor for the last 16 years. After roughly 14 office visits I have only seen a doctor 2 times, after requesting a doctor on every visit and I never see the same person twice. Which I think is terrible. I’m paying to see a Doctor and I have seen 2 different doctors in those 14 visits. It usually a physician assistant and they are all under 27 years of ago. Babies.!!!!! Trying to get the correct pain medication, the same dose and strength I’ve been taking for 15 years is like running thru a gauntlet..!!! I have to fight to get my medication. And I’m getting tired of doing it. I’m will return to Dr. Chapman’s office for the next few months but I’m actively looking for a one office, one doctor for pain management not 8 doctors all under one roof. I want to see the doctor I make my appointment with and who my insurance company pays…. Not PA….!!! I see his multiple office as just a money making machine, with little attention given to his patients. It sad…. As I read all this positive reviews I find it hard to believe that he gets such a high review. I’m actually amazed because I am far from picky and very rarely complain about any service. But then again, I’m older and grow up when doctors all had their own offices and you sat in a waiting for hours sometimes but you got real personal care. You would be in with the doctor for no less than 45 minutes to one hour getting great individual care. Care that was much better than what you get today.
As always my experience with Dr. Chapman and the entire staff was a pleasurable experience. The care each one takes of us patients is amazing. So many smiling faces from beginning to end make you feel at ease. Having to receive an injection in you spine is scary but there is always a caring nurse at your side. Dr. Chapman is an awesome guy. I appreciate his straightforwardness, he keeps it real! To all of you nurses, anesthesiologists, front desk receptionists and all behind the scenes you are all so wonderful. Thanks for the level of professionalism and compassion you offer when I'm there. You all deserve 10 stars!!! Tricia Z.
Dr. Chapman is a compassionate professional who has never given up on trying to manage my chronic back pain. His staff is consistently courteous and professional, and always do their best to make me feel comfortable before and after a procedure , as well as during routine visits. Dr. Chapman is the only pain management doctor I would trust to treat me. My husband and I are both patients and have watched his practice grow into the exceptional state of the art practice it is today.
I highly recommend Dr Chapman as a pain mngt doctor. I had my second epidural shot on sat, 11/16 and was very satisfied. I have 4 bulging discs on my right side of my neck and I’m glad my acupuncturist recommended him. It had worked for me the 1st time I went and last for 6-7 months which is fantastic. His staff is very professional and accommodating. They always respond to any questions in a timely manner. His mini hospital where the procedure takes place is very clean, everything runs smoothly and on time. The nurses are great and work well with one another to prepare you for the procedure. Overall, great experience!!!
Great care given to patients by nursing staff and medical personal, especially Dr Chapman and his team. I was first a patient of his 6-7 years ago and that’s why I returned to him when problems recurred. Thanks to his referral I had a wonderful experience when I had total hip replacement. I am a retired physician.
Dr Chapman, Thank you for everything you have done for me with your blessing skilled hands. You are a wonderful, caring doctor. Keep smiling and keep doing what you do so well. You truly make a difference in the medical field with your super amazing staff! They are all awesome, too.
One of the best doctors I've ever experienced in relieving my pain!! I have 12 herniated discs from my cervical, thoracic & lumbar spine along with permanent nerve damage due to my USPS work related injury 21 years ago. I could not move from the neck down. I went to two different hospitals in New York & New Jersey. I went to Mount Sinai for help as I was in the worst pain ever! The NJ hospital gave me morphine & demoral & It had no effect in relieving my pain & continued to scream in pain..Mount Sinai looked at me like I had three heads & they offered NO help at all!! I then contacted Dr Chapman's office He took one look at me unable to barely move & constantly moaning in horrible pain... He examined me & immediately gave me a procedure on my neck & shoulder & said that it would last possibly a year or so. I was pain-free for 7 years before I needed another treatment! The pain was so horrible I felt like Dr Chapman saved my life! I Still drive from the Jersey Shore where I'm originally from once a month to see him & I will continue to do so. Best Doctor! 10+ rating Thank you doc
I have to say that the Dongan Hills Office is very pleasant and professional. From the moment you get in you are greeted with a smile. Everything is explained thoroughly. The nurses in the procedure part are exceptional at their job providing such wonderful care before and after your procedure. Dr. Chapman and the Anesthesiologist are great and I go in for my epidural injections with full confidence and trust in them and it’s extremely important to have that when dealing with spinal problems. I would highly recommend them.
Over the past two years I found the practice of dr. Chapman to be extremely professional. As much as it is professional, it's also casual, and friendly. Bravo to dr. Chapman and his lovely staff.
Dr Chapman and staff are all very professional caring and kind. I would not trust any other doctor with my epidural injections! I have been a patient for many many years. It brings me peace of mind to know that there are doctors like Dr Chapman in this world who care and go the extra mile
