Dr. Abraham was SUPER friendly and very knowledgeable when it came to my issues and care. He made me feel like everything was going to be ok and that goes along way with me. I am a hard headed patient and haven't seen him in a while, but when I called his office in need of care his staff made sure to get me in ASAP and were extremely friendly in the process. I would recommend his office to anyone who needs a pulmonologist and I will be continuing to see him as often as needed.
Dr. Abraham has treated my mother for several years following a diagnosis of COPD and Lung surgery for cancer. She was satisfied with the doctors bedside manner and the treatment she received once she was in the office patient care rooms, but to get to that point was ridiculous and frustrating for us and especially my mother. His office cancelled and rescheduled her appointment eight times in a row which ended up over a year of appointments that she never was able to see him. The last appointment scheduled when they called her to cancel and reschedule I refused and told they that she was coming that day and time and someone in that office was going to see my mom that day and time so that someone could address her problems and concerns which had been put off which again spanned over a year. Before that date came unfortunately she fell and was admitted to the hospital. When discharged the consulting pulmonary doctor told us to contact his office and get her cpap machine replaced because it was on a recall and she needed it immediately which I did. The receptionist then informed me there was nothing they could do because my mom hadnt been seen within the last year again because of them rescheduling and she would have to wait till she saw a doctor before they could address the issue. I told them she infact had been seen by a lung doctor it just wasnt their doctors because of their office and they could request the hospital records to fill out forms or give insurance info to get the machine replaced and after instructing her how to do her job she told me she would call us back. Three days we waited and she then told us we needed to register the machine and deal with the company directly to get it replaced and again she tried to reschedule her upcoming appt. I rudely declined and called the office with whom my mother saw during her hospital. They saw her within 2 weeks of discharge as recommended at her discharge for her bloodclots in her lungs and the got her a cpap machine to borrow while we handled the process to get her equipment replaced by the recall company. I would never again deal with the staff of this physician. I dont know if he was aware of the trouble we had but even if not the staff is a reflection of you and the care you provide.
I see Dr McConnell he is very professional and explains in ways I understand, his assistant is very good also. So glad I found them. Great dr.
BEWARE! Saw Dr Abraham there for breathing problems. If you are ill with a breathing problem and/or expect honest, professional medical care please run, don't walk to anyone else. I was a new patient in the middle of December 2016, elderly, in an assisted living, from another state, needing a pulmonologist for COPD and Pulmonary hypertension in my new city. This Dr was polite, formal, seemingly thorough, and said he would order tests to pinpoint source of my current symptoms and establish a baseline. I had to beg for office to schedule tests he discussed but they said he was out of the country from before Christmas to way into January and after other calls to them finally did get scheduled. Couldn't get return appt for results until May almost 5 months later so no results but same symptoms for that time. Got tired of begging for help so went to hospital records office for copies of the tests but had to try to interpret them via internet and called Dr I had before in another state. One test was a small blood test to rule out mold as source of symptoms It wasn't as I have no allergies and the lab billed me $899 because Dr Abraham didn't tell Medicare it was for respiratory inquiry. Called Medicare and they told me to have him fill the form out correctly to indicate that it was for respiratory inquiry. I called and wrote with no help. Please don't let this happen to you. There are other doctors that will not leave you in physical and financial danger.
I made an appointment and I got my time wrong. She just left. I tried to make another appointment and they never called me back. That doesn't sound very professional. This has never happened to me. Needless to say I wont be back.
