Story

Kentucky Peerless Distilling Company opened in Louisville, Kentucky in 2015, but the distillery’s roots extend back to 1889, when Henry Kraver began distilling bourbon. Corky and Carson Taylor, fourth and fifth generation descendants of Kraver, are the historic-turned-urban Bourbon makers. Excellent tour and tasting. They adapted to new guidelines and we enjoyed our visit. The tour included tasting several of the recent single barrel releases. Good overview of their history, how they make their product and how its different. Staff was some of the friendliest around and its was a worthwhile trip.
Awesome product and tour. The small batch bourbon is $20 less expensive at Total Wine. Bummer because I assumed Peerless would at least match the price of their stores. Single barrel bottles are the same price.
Peerless is the holy grail of whisky making in Kentucky. Downtown Louisville just past Louisville slugger museum. If you are anywhere near this award-winning distillery, don't walk run. It is a bucket list for any whiskey lover!!
Had no clue what to expect when we booked the tasting but it was a great experience. Facility was clean with lots of merchandise. The bar area for tastings was really cool. The lady leading the tasting was entertaining. Be sure to book this place on your next Kentucky trip. Bourbon tastes great!
