Khames, a 5th generation jeweler was born the youngest of 11 children in Cairo, Egypt. He grew up in the jewelry shop with the jewelers bench as his playground. It quickly came to be known that he had a gift. Custom jewelry design is not only his profession, but his passion.
Khames’ first stop in the United States was in New York working in a jewelry factory. He came to Virginia Beach on vacation and fell in love with the friendly people and beautiful climate. He immediately began work at a local jeweler in Virginia Beach where he worked as a Master Goldsmith for 15 & a half years. After a few years, he opened what is now known as Khames Jewelers in Great Neck Village.
