I recognized not just asian but others from different racial ethnics come to enjoy lunch here also. Try their shaken beef. It's their signature. I love their duck noodle here as well. Totally worthy spending $ here. The owner's family is so kind and sweetDine in: Yes
Had the Lemongrass Pork Chops for lunch and enjoyed it very much! I accompanied it with a Coconut Water. The service was pleasant, my food came out at an adequate wait time. Great little spot in midtown, family owned, can't go wrong.
Absolutely love this place… Family run, tastes amazing. I usually get their banh mi sandwich and tried several different kind, they are really good, pork with fried egg is awesome. Egg rolls, one plate has 4 and is served with lettuce and fish sauce. Bo Luc Lac - I enjoyed it, every place serves it their own way, this one came with fried rice. I recommend you try this place, parking is tight but that’s okay. TRY IT…
One of my favorite spots for Vietnamese home cooking style. Simple but so flavorful, especially on the bo luc lac. The banh bot chien was also so crispy and its texture was perfect!
Very good family run neighborhood restaurant serving an outstanding variety of well prepared and excellent tasting Vietnamese cuisine. The service is fast and friendly It is a relatively small place with parking for only about 6 cars but it does both good takeout and dine in business. The egg rolls are filled with a flavorful combination of shrimp, pork and crab and are perfectly fried to a non-oily and crispy texture. These are the best egg rolls that I have had in Houston, a city abundant in Vietnamese and Chinese restaurants serving a good egg roll. We also had the pho and the chicken and rice. Everything was fresh and we'll prepared. The portions were ample and tasty There was a good variety of Asian and American beverages from which to choose.
I love their pho! They could provide a bit more noodles but they make up for it with a heaping helping of meat. The chicken dumplings and egg rolls are also excellent. Always serviced hot and fresh. A downside is they only have 7 parking spots 5 in front and 2 on the side but people come in and out pretty regularly/quickly so we’ve always gotten a spot. They also have metered street parking nearby.
I took the metro rail and want to eat a Vietnamese sandwiches so I googled it and found this restaurant within walking distance from the metro stop. It’s just behind Leon’s Lounge. I had the egg rolls and a sandwich. The egg rolls was awesome m, no fillers, just meat and seafood. The skin is thin and it just like my mom made it because I want meat not egg rolls skin. Hot off the fryers and I was so happy. The sandwich is the same, really good meat and veggies and bread is really fresh. Parking is a bit tight so it may be crowded around lunch time but if you take the metro rail, stop by to try it out and you won’t regret it. Update: I went to Oklahoma City for work and had a meal at one of the top Vietnamese restaurant there for the last 30 years. Similar egg rolls and Pho. After tasting it, I had to go back to this place. I lived in Houston for almost 30 years and in California for 15 years and had not had such good food like this. It reminds me of going with my grandpa to the local shops for breakfast or lunch. The same kind of vibes and the same kind of taste. The coffee has to be thick, strong and a little bitter. The egg rolls are light and crispy and the duck soup is just wonderful. My mom owned a little cafeteria back home and she can cook but it still not as good as this chef. They have been in this location for 40 years. It’s amazing to be able to find treasures like this right in here. It reminds me of my trip in Vietnamese where I got really good food like this. I now know where to go when I am craving good food. I use the metro to downtown and if I am on the metro, I just get off and head over there. Kudos to the chef!
5 stars always. The building is old, but their food is anything but! This family run restaurant takes pride in the food they make. Their Vietnamese egg rolls are delicious and so is the lemongrass tofu. Only drawback is that parking directly outside can be challenging so sometimes you have to park down the street. One of the yummiest places to eat in Houston, and it is very affordable.
I have try many place for ,, mi vit tiem,,, this place got the best, perfect flavor, and the egg noodles is excellent,, they been in business for over 40 years,, this tell you something,,, notes I ordered extra duck drum,,, also the shrimp wonton is excellent if there is six star i would give them six the place have about 6 table so don't expect big fancy restaurants,, this is about the food.
Such an authentic restaurant. You must try the fried eggs with rice cakes, such a simple dish but made us want to get seconds. The beef pho was very flavorful, and we also had the rock n roll beef which comes with fried rice you can ask for protein to be added to the rice, we got pork fried rice. It's a small family business so the service was great, and there's a small parking lot out front.
