I do the gourmet century every year which starts and ends at the factory. The event is a lot of fun and there is incredible attention paid to the food. I use Chris King components when I can in all my bikes and the quality is outstanding. On occasion the company will do a dock sale and offer some good deals.
For many many years I only had positive experiences with Chris King and one or the other component on all of my bikes. But I never had to deal with their customer service until recently. It has already been taking 4 whole months to work out a solution for a paint failure on my Cielo frame - which is otherwise a beautiful frame. A lot of long weeks of absolute silence and apparently no interest in a quick solution despite constructive suggestions from me and my dealer. Even by bike industry standards this is slowly becoming ridiculous.
After 30+ years of selling King products I will never sell a Chris King product again. The chris king of the past is gone. The only thing they care about is internet sales. They want to be a boutique brand that snubs riders needs. STAY AWAY FROM CHRIS KING!!! They will block you on social media for criticism so that's why their feed looks so positive. Bad people. Bad company.
Great parts, horrible customer service. Even worse technical parts support - told me to just take it to my local bike shop. I do not have a "local" bike shop, there is one 180km away, 4 hour round trip for part advice?
I came in to clean the area, and I was blown away. You need to look into their website, because what they do, how they do it, who they support... I simply cannot put into words how awesometacular these people are. Check em out!
If I were still working in manufacturing, I would live to work here!
Good place to work, especially for cyclists.
Great tour, great product.
