One of my Favorite go to. Haven't been in a few years... AMAZING STILL. The pita bread was fresh. All 3 Gyro meals were fresh and warm. Perfect! Love the new paint job on the out the outside of the building. "Indy's famous Gyro" Quick service, friendly staff, smiling faces. Will be bringing friends and family from across the country. Definitely a staple of Indianapolis. Kid-friendliness: Always welcoming staff, have never had a messed up order. They actually listen Parking: Always has enough parking. Maybe re paint the lines. Or resurface?
Pros: Gyro meat & tzatziki were awesome! I appreciated having feta as gyro joins near my home don't offer feta with a platter which perplexes me. Fries were pretty good, could've used a bit more salt. Onions fresh, pita good, soda was well mixed and refreshing. Cons: Dirty restraunt. Tables sticky, trash full, floors slippery, stuff running down walls. I made the awful mistake of using the restroom to wash my hands before we ate. The bathroom was repulsive! Smelled like nasty sewage, scummy. Completely lost my appetite. As for the food my only complaint is that I feel the platter could've came with an additional pita & a few black olives for the cost. Take away: The search for an awesome gyro place continues for me. While the good want too bad, it wasn't good enough to get me to return to the gross restraunt. This place is 40mins from home for me.
We love everything we've gotten from here! It's one of our go to spots. Good prices for the portion sizes! Drive thru os always fast. Kid-friendliness: They have lots of different options.
I have visited this location one other time, that visit is what led us back this visit. I have tried a few Gyros since I've been living in Indianapolis area and I have been impressed with very few. I believe there is one in the fashion Mall area that is okay but no one gives great options in this area unfortunately. Today we got two gyro plates, one have an extra meat, one with a Greek salad the other with fries, also a cheeseburger with fries, all came with drinks. Not pictured is the cheese sticks that ultimately we were not charged for. We were greeted by a nice young lady who kind of talked us through options for ordering like gyroa combo versus a gyros plate etc. She wasn't rushing and she wasn't stressed out or tired of the questions. The food came out rather quickly, and I noticed the absence of the cheese sticks that I ordered, she probably just honestly did not hear me and she told me not to worry about it, I told her that I could pay she repeated not to worry about it and they were ready within a few minutes. She was far too kind. Keep in mind King gyros is a nice little drive from where I live, how about 40 minutes, and we went during rush hour, but the experience was wonderful. The food was hot and fresh including the fries which were seasoned nicely with salt. The only downside to that is that the only companion brand name is hunt and not Heinz and I'm partial to Heinz ketchup . The sandwich was loaded with enough meat and it already came with enough tzatziki sauce which was not watery and filled with chunks of cucumbers. It was perfectly flavored, nice and thick and though I ordered extra it wasn't really needed. Today we sat down indoors and ate. Now during the downtime a little cleaning could take place as some of the tables needed attention but I was too emerged in the delightfulness of my meal to make that a concern of mine. I was 100% happy with our visit today, as was my husband and daughter.
Been eating here for years! Best gyros in my opinion hands down. Always get fried mushrooms along with it. Super tasty, fresh and never disappoint. They cater and have a nice selection of other food choices but this is my go to when I go.
This used to be our favorite place to stop for a gyro, but meh. The girl working the drive thru had a horrible attitude! All I ordered were 2 gyros and she practically threw them at me and slammed the window. I heard the customer in front of me say something to her and she done the same to him. Anyway, the gyro meat was luke warm and had barely any tzatziki sauce.
Wow! The best Greek I've had in indy so far! The Greek Gyro salad get it spicy! Is HUGE! And priced really good!
On THREE different occasions, I've gotten all the way home with my food just to find out that it's incorrect or missing something: No chicken on my chicken salad, an entire sandwich missing,b or I was given someone else's whole order. No idea how they mess up orders so bad between the speaker and the window. Food is okay when it's hot & accurate. Best items I've had are the NY chicken & rice, and the catfish dinner.
Fabulous gyros here...just wonderful. I would give it six stars if I could. The baklava is great as well! Good service; my to-go order was ready just a few minutes after I ordered it. Will be coming here more often!Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
We absolutely love this place. The Gyros, the Tenderloin, mushrooms, and all of their food. However the inside of the restaurant is filthy. The 2 doors that you have to touch while entering have what it looks like months of fingerprints all over it. For some people they may turn around and not go in. We sat at a table and I went to pull my chair out and their was what felt like grease all over my chair. They're are always several employees in their, so why can't they come out and clean?
