Kiyen's

I had sushi takeout and wow...this was the best I've had in the metro area! Crispy, when fried and clear, fresh tastes with everything else. You'll know what you're eating when you see it which I find to be sometimes difficult when ordering sushi. I can't wait to take my lady here for date night.

Update: I decided to go back and try the food again, I've been coming here for years and I really didn't want to give up on this place. I did take out twice, and a dine in once since my last review. The food has improved and the atmosphere is calmer. I believe the owner cares about the customer and I truly believe that he is doing everything possible to better his business. The staff is a lot friendlier, and everything comes out timely and good. The presentation is also beautifully arranged. It's okay. I've been coming here for about 5 or 6 years, lately it hasn't been the same. The sushi was ok, but not great, the food was a little bland and the service was not very good. The setting used to be small and intimate, but now it's loud and over crowded (the host kept seating everyone in the same area, even though there was plenty of space elsewhere.) The setting is like the Wasabi restaurant now. Sadly, I don't think I'd come back. I also got slight food poisoning this time around so, there's that.

Best Hibachi I have ever had. This place doesn't do the hibachi in front of you, but the service and atmosphere are amazing. Prices are a little high, about $20 a meal. I highly recommend the sushi and hibachi chicken. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was a flavor that is unforgettable.

My children and I love Kiyen's. The food is GREAT!!. Update: My sister and I went to Kiyen's this past Saturday January 27, 2018. The food was so good as always, but the service was the highlight of the day. My sister has Cancer and. Mr. Kiyen came out and talked to my sister to see if there was a special diet or a type of food she couldn't have. Just by the kindness and the great service of the concerns for my sister, I will always be grateful to you Mr. Kiyen and staff. Thank you so much.

Visited on a Saturday, although busy; service was prompt and food came out quickly, maybe even too quick. This was a date night for us and the ambience is not there for such an occasion. Parents of 3 and when date night rolls around do not want to sit beside a table of our oldest one, I.e. teenagers. Food was great and plentiful though so not a complete waste.
