One of my favorite parts of being in this neighborhood though I'd probably go out of my way to come even if this wasn't our neighborhood when in NY- a year round market with veggies, cheese, meat/eggs, bread, plants, honey, flowers, and basically anything else you can think of? Multiple times per week? Granted, you're probably not getting something that isn't in-season, so don't expect do to 100% of your shopping here year round, but the selection is incredible considering this is the northeast. Quality is pretty uniformly great. The number of vendors varies by day and time of year. This is always worth perusing, even if you're a tourist and not stocking your pantry!
Today was a partially clouded day, the green market is really interesting, and they have a lot of variety of fresh products, harvesting by locals, and sub products. Is a great place to do a little bit of grocery shopping and take products that are clean and safe for our bodies, also plants and flowers for this gorgeous season. I entirely recommend going!
One of my favorite constants in NYC. Year-round seasonal produce and products. The holiday market nearby also adds a unique flair that is sure to delight all tastes! Having grown up here, I have many memories of the influence of this market culture. Delicious dishes, cherished collectibles, gardening insights, environmental practices and inclusive diverse community keeps me coming back over 20 years, even when I live far away now
I visited this place for the first time. It was great. Variety of vendors they are really friendly and helpful with any questions you ask. I bought a few things from the local guys. Those dried flowers were really mesmerizing and beautiful!!
Super cute green market with local producer. Everything looks so so tasty. Quite busy and it s nice, the atmosphere is really welcoming and warm. You can find everything from veggies to meat to bread to … fresh cat grass !!! Super easy to access at Union Square, not far away for the center of manhattan. I recommend to go, it s a nice walk.
Moved out to Long Island and I will still almost weekly make sure to make the trip to the greenmarket. There are simply way too many good and nutritious options to pass up visiting. The atmosphere is great, location makes it easy for all to get to and like I alluded to previously, the breadth of things to pick from and enjoy is simply on another level.
I love this market, specifically the two plant vendors that are usually there. So many beautiful and hard to find plants at great prices! Definitely worth a visit
Absolutely the best farmer’s market in NYC. Great folks and wonderful produce & products. We love Martin’s Pretzels & Bread Alone .
Top tier market - lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of stalls. Cheese is on point. If you need good cheese, this is your place. Get the cheese, make things with cheese, live a great life. Great times and hours, great vendors. Knowledgeable and many sell cheese. Great cheese. Nice flowers and bread and meats if that’s your thing.
A must-go for New Yorkers. It’s a great way to feel like you’re in a small town with local produce and foods for a day. Get apple cider and fresh flowers. Sample spirits, cheese, and fresh nectarines. Plus, check out great jewelry vendors and street artists.
