Knott Street Dermatology

I normally see Craig Schultz. I have pretty severe psoriasis on basically every part of my body and he was able to get me on a biologic within a few weeks of first seeing him. Overall, the team did a great job of coordinating between my insurance and the drug manufacturer to get everything set up. This last week, I had a sudden flare up likely due to a viral infection. After three days of a severely painful rash spreading all over my body including the bottoms of my feet interfering with my ability to walk, I was able to call and get a next-day appointment. However, I got a call shortly after that Krista Larson was able to fit me in same-day. Dr. Larson really went above and beyond. She was very thorough, took time to make sure I understood everything, listened to my concerns, and worked with me to come up with a solid treatment plan. Her assistant was also incredible. It is hard to find people with such a great bedside manner nowadays. Both are excellent communicators and really made me feel cared for and like they had a genuine concern for my well-being.

I visited Knott Street Dermatology to have them evaluate a few Seborrheic Keratosis spots I had on my face and stomach non-cancerous brown spots that can/do grow. They advised that if I wanted them removed they use a small razor to thinly shave them off. I opted to have them do the first one on my stomach to check the results before moving to my face. It took a couple of weeks to heal, and nearly six months removed I have a pea sized raised red scar on my stomach, and am so relieved I didn't have them do that to my face. I found another provider that used a small pen shaped tool to freeze them off of my face, the treatment took less than 30 seconds, and they fell off within a week with ZERO scarring of any kind. Its like they never existed. I don't know if the provider at Knott Street was unaware of this treatment option, or if they use the razor because its less expensive or can bill more for it, but I find it very concerning that cutting my face was their first treatment option when something MUCH less invasive, and FAR more effective was available. I'm still giving them two stars because they were friendly and polite, but I definitely question the level of their care.

Update: Approximately two weeks after my visit their office administrator reached out to me by phone to apologize for their mistake and issue a refund. While I'm still disappointed in the initial level of service I received I do acknowledge that they ultimately resolved the problem, though not without struggle. As such I've updated my initial one-star review to two stars. I received decent care in my first visit with Dr. Hanson, where he identified potentially harmful nevi. For this reason they took pictures of the most concerning ones for my record in order to compare against in my next visit in eight months. During my second visit eight months later I was informed that they had no record of the pictures they had previously taken. He informed me that it was a clerical mistake and apologized, and proceeded to do a very brief once-over and take another set of photos for my record and said to come back for comparison in a year. Since the doctor wasn't able to do a comparison of my previous photos and render a professional opinion on the state of my nevi which is exactly what the appointment was for, I understandably asked for a refund. Unfortunately for me I was told by their billing specialist that no refund would be provided, as the once-over would suffice. I understand and except that mistakes happen. But when they do, I don't expect to be charged for those mistakes. Their refusal to provide a refund for a service that I didn't receive is unacceptable. I will be finding another dermatologist and recommend that everyone avoid this one.

My husband sees a great Dr at this office who is very thorough. I on the other hand saw one who is probably a genius, but my head to toe was hit and miss, and he was very dismissive. It was strange. I may ask to see other Dr or get referral to go elsewhere. I cannot trust his advice. I have several unanswered questions but I was left feeling ignored and confused at his diagnosis & lack of interest attitude. Maybe he was having a bad day, or distracted by personal problems - or covid stressed. It was just strange.

At the Knott Street Location, I found pleasant staff, unlike others on here. I had mole removed from eyelid, BBL on face neck and chest, and Botox treatment. All turned out good results. I give one less star because their prices seemed somewhat on the high side, and each time I had appointment, I waited over 20 minutes past my appointment to get in. I also found it very unusual to be charged a deposit before the treatment, then when billed, I found their statements pretty rudimentary and not overly detailed.

Rude doctor, took months to make an appointment from multiple referrals and then claimed they never got any while the information they asked was obviously from the first time. A full body scan took less than 20 minutes and she ignored my questions about my rashes. i was not only refused patch testing for allergies because the doctor "does not beleive in them" wheh I have been struggling with them for years. When i had to ask about a spot the doctor missed less than a minute after she walked out, i had to wait longer than my appointment lasted to ask her and then she said "oh that spot is just allergies" but to what!?

Dr. Hansen is incredible! A true knight among Drs. !!! He fights for his patients to have the best care no matter what the insurance says. He knows the battle feild, with a well trained staff, a plan of action, amazing up-to-date knowledge of their specialty, and deidication! You couldn't expect more from any office! I have severe psoriassis. I am fighting for Humera bc I have tried a gammet of meds. They are trying to make me take a medication that makes you infertial and has other draw backs. As a young single woman he dosent believe in prescribing such things. He is knowledgeable in the game they play and if our insurance company is not going to let the doctors do the job they were trained and schooled to do then why as patients do we keep them??? If you want people who practice what they believe in, always call you back, deliver results, are strait forward, give you a 20 min. Turn around time from check-in to check-out, & are absolutely amazing Drs. You will be in good hands here! They are well recognized in the medical community as well I have herd from other; nurses , doctors, and pharmacist's. Thank you Knott St. for everything you do!!! I truly appreciate all of your help Dr. Hansen & your incredible MA!!! She is a hard working Gem!!!

They rescheduled my original appointment the day after I made it. So I wait over a month for my rescheduled appointment and it was made for a day they are not open. I took time off work for this.

My husband saw Dr Hanson and was impressed. He's a melanoma patient and will keep seeing Dr Hanson

This place was so great even though I went to the wrong office and was almost an hour late! Everyone was so nice!!
