Koinania Valley Ranch Family Resort

It's such a beautiful, quite place to relax and recharge! It is backed right up to the Mark Twain National Forest so there is quite a bit of wildlife and places to go for scenic walks. There is a small pond with lots of fishing potential!! While the location is remote enough to "unplug" it is close enough to visit nearby attractions. The accommodations are nice and the kitchens are fully stocked with kitchen wear. (Make sure to bring all of the food that you might want/need as the closest grocery store is about half an hour away.) There is a great selection of movies to watch in the evenings ranging from old John Waynes to some from last year.

If you are looking for a peaceful place out in the country to unwind and get away from it all, this is the place!! The hosts are wonderful, the facilities are top notch, and the setting is gorgeous. We have gone to Elephant Rocks and Johnson Shut-Ins, and both sites were huge hits with the family. On the resort grounds, there is ample space for hiking and exploring in the creeks and woods, not to mention fishing or paddle-boating. There are also ample movies and books if you prefer to curl up and relax. I highly recommend Koinania Valley Ranch Family Resort, and look forward to when I can return!

It was very peaceful, relaxing and the scenery was awesome. Also there's alot off national parks and small towns in the area. I would highly recommend Johnsons Shut ins park and Elephant Rock park.

I used their shuttle service for my hike on the Taum Sauk Trail section of the Ozark Trail. Mary followed up by both an email and a phone call on the day of my reservation. She was great company on the drive to the trailhead. When we arrived at the trailhead parking lot, there was some confusion to just where the trail I wanted was located. Mary drove me to where I had cell service and the problem was solved with a call to the Ozark Trail Association. She then drove me to the right place to begin my hike. I highly recommend their shuttle service to anyone needing a ride and wanting some great conversation !!

It's a very nice place to go. The people there are really nice and it was a great experience for me.
