Cute little restaurant, works well for thrifty college students. The sushi was ok but I was not impressed with the vegetarian ramen. The presentation was nice and the minimal cost was a plus. I do recommend the gyoza if you are considering an appetizer.
It's one of the older and famous Japanese restaurant in the city. Price is very reasonable and the serving size is ample! We had the yakisoba and beef gyudon. I didn't find the food to be wow but it was good! I'll probably try th sushi bar next time.
Cozy place, good for dining alone as well as with friends. If you’re planning to order ramen go with a small portion unless you sharing with 1 or 2 other people. I had delicious tofu ramen and even though I was starving I left half of noodles in the bowl. Everything is also quite cheap. $8.50 for a regular ramen ~$13 for a jumbo ramen can feed 2-3 people
The place looks nice, the menu lists a lot of items I liked that!, the food was good, the only thing I didn't like was that the kimchi and the noodles on another dish were really really cold. Dumplings were particularly good.
Best ramen in the city! This place is awesome! Ton of menu items and everything is traditional. I wish I would have found out about this place sooner.
First impression, the food was alright, but I don't recommend getting any raw fish. Our gyoza was mushy and burnt on one side, and the fish tasted like it went bad. On the other hand, everything else was pretty okay. For the price, I would say the food's not that worth it. The people up front were really nice, and overall it is a friendly environment to hang out in. Also, when the restaurant opens, it gets kinda crowded, so I would wait a little bit before coming in. We were the first ones in, and we could tell they were a bit in a hurry.
Update 8/20/2018 Slow service. Sooooo slow. I got my food before my other friend could finish placing his order. What is with the new kid who is working? He seems very slow or stoned. Original Inexpensive for authentic Japanese food! Went there twice in the last two weeks. I had the tofu & chicken teriyaki, also tried their lunch. Very good food and the service was quick! Nothing much to say about it, go check it out!
KoKo Kitchen is a very nice restaurant with a large selection, including vegetarian options. The plates are large and filling. While I wasn't fond of their tofu, their vegetable curry was amazing. It is a cozy, little restaurant, especially in the back with the sushi bar.
If you're looking for authentic Japanese cuisine for an affordable price, you have found the right place. This little hole-in-the-wall restaurant may look unassuming, but packs a wallop of a menu filled with flavor and great deals. Order at the counter for pickup or bring your tray to the beautiful, cozy backroom dining area for a friendly and thoroughly enjoyable experience. The amazing food, coupled with imported Japanese beverages and soft drinks, makes this restaurant as close as you can get to dining in Japan itself. To round it all out, the employees are friendly and eager to get their food to you. An absolute pleasure to have dinner here. Be aware that when we dined here, there were no children and quite a few couples. It is a small restaurant, so bringing young, noisy children is probably not the best idea.
Wasn't very impressed by the noodle dish I ordered. The gyōza were good. The ramen was okay. There are better options out there. This place is close, fast and convenient. The employees are polite and helpful and quick.
