Love love Kona Grill! This was my first time eating at Kona Grill. I'm really disappointed that I didn't come sooner. That shrimp pasta is enough to share with two people that's what we wind up doing. I had the delicious Peach margarita what a perfect mix. Everything was extremely good. This is perfect for a lunch date or a romantic evening with your spouse. Maybe even a family dinner with the kids. I will be back soon the only thing I would say is that the prices were a little bit too high it could be because of inflation but other than that everything was good.
It was very okay tasting. Big price for tast that was not exactly memorable. We tried it, I wasn't mad I just won't be in a rush to come back. The kids meals were great they loved the selection and sizes. I got Korean ribs. These were good. The sauce was a bit too much tang and the cut of meat was kind of hard to chew through and get off the bone. Calamari: well made, the shoshito peppers and these little red sweet peppers don't know name were amazing and complimented the savory calamari in an excellent way. My wife's fish was good for her, nothing special. Carrot cake for dessert was probably my favorite thing we ordered.
The Kona Grill was definitely a great experience for lunch. The sushi chef Timothy, made us feel very welcome and made excellent rolls for us. The service was quick, friendly, and the food was very fresh. Will definitely be returning here for a peaceful detour from a work filled afternoon.
There are not many restaurants in Indiana that do a Happy Hour. The Happy Hour at Kona Grill in Carmel is worth checking out…the food and drink specials can’t be beat! Even if sushi isn’t your thing, they have flatbreads and burgers to try. Kevin was our server and he went above and beyond with the recommendations and quick service. We are definitely coming back!
What a waist of time and money, made a reservation at 7:15 and did not get seated till 7:30. Ordered to pot stickers 18.00 for 6 quarter size things that were a waist. Look at the photo. We ordered everything in the beginning. Took 30 min to get our salads. I had to find my server and tell him if they haven't started our order to give me the check on the app and I will pay that and tip to go eat fast food somewhere else. Needless to say he had them out in 5 min. The chopped salad 15.00 plus 8.00 for grill chicken is a joke. 23.00 for chopped chicken that was a cup size not grilled and was not worth 8.00. I got the Asian small salad 12.00 plus 8.00 shrimp this was the best part of the meal. An hour and a half for dinner and a 68.00 bill for two salads water and 18.00 app. We will not return.
This was me and my cousin’s first time trying this restaurant and it was a wonderful experience! It was recommended to my cousin via a Facebook group and she had been asking me to try it with her. We were NOT disappointed. We order more than what is pictured below. We enjoyed their $3 mimosas as well. Dan was our server he was so sweet and he was wonderful! We told him we have never been here and he made plenty of suggestions. One of his suggestions was the sushi pictured below and it was delicious. He kept us updated periodically throughout our time on how long our order would take it was not long at all but it was nice to get the updates. I ordered the shrimp tacos and the manager came to the table to let me know she wasn’t pleased with the freshness of the slaw so they were remaking my order - I LOVED that she did that! You can tell they take pride in the presentation of the food and everything was fresh. The atmosphere was also amazing and we will definitely be returning.
Was very happy with dinner at Kona: atmosphere, service, and the food great. I was impressed with the waiter Kevin, great suggestions for food and drink. Loved the starter, bass slider and Margarita- I was happy. I was really impressed with dinner, the glazed salmon w/rice was magnificent.. It reminded me of food I had in Maui.
UPDATE**** I gave them another try at their managers request. It might have been a bad night for the first waitress or she shouldn't be one but service was amazing! The chicken shrimp wraps were amazing!!!! Along with their miso soup. Thank you Kona Grill. The food was ok at best. My waitress was horrible. She didn't seem to care. I don't know if it was because I was alone or she was just having a bad day. I had to look for her. At one point I was actively trying to get her to me for about 20 mins. It really soured my experience. I won't return. Better places out there to deal with bad service.
4 stars given for the staff, atmosphere, and mimosas. The food we ordered, definitely not 4 star. The server suggested the Brainiac cinnamon pull apart bread and my kiddo definitely wanted to try that and I also ordered her the kids chicken finger bento box. Such a cute idea but she said the chicken didn't taste right. I tried it and agreed. The chicken was flavorless and the fries were average at best. The pull apart bread was way overcooked/very dry. My sugar-loving kiddo wouldn't even eat it. The green beans were the only thing that we liked. I will definitely go back again but likely just for drinks.
Went for date night $39 per person. App lobster toast great. We both got sushi board for entree as seen in pic really good. Service and drinks could be improved on.
