Impressive at night with its colorful lights. It’s a truss cable-stayed bridge over Newtown Creek in New York City and connects Greenpoint in Brooklyn to Maspeth in Queens.
Google maps will not route you over the bridge's bike and pedestrian path yet Sept 2019, but I can assure you that it's there--with pictures to prove it! There are no signs to guide the way to the path but it's not that hard to find a bridge this large.
This is a totally redone and awesome public space now. Open space to walk, jog, ride bikes, skate and hang out. Nice views of the city and tons of shade
Definitely this new bridge was very beautiful, Compared to the old bridge. I have many memories of the old bridge but this new bridge was spectacular.
My favorite bridge in the Sunnyside/Greenpoint area. Now, could the creator of the Google Maps tag please edit the name of the bridge so it's spelled correctly? Right now it says "Koscuiuszko", when it should be "Kościuszko", or at the very least, "Kosciuszko".
Amazing piece of art ..and during 4th of July it is a delight
Confusing and dangerous as you're trying to navigate Eastbound through, especially with these street racers not allowing you to pass on the right, coupled with the speed limit being LOWERED to 45 mph and police situated as a speed trap, where they pull over the wrong person, smh.
