I have to agree with these complaints. My mother died on Christmas morning 2022. The funeral home was quick to call and schedule a time to come in and set up a simple cremation without services. They took my money and that's the last I've heard from them. 3 weeks later, they've ghosted all my calls. I began calling the day after I paid to provide final information needed for the death certificate, then after a week of that I started calling for a status. They don't respond to phone calls or emails once they taken your money. Sadly, I may have to pursue legal action to get her body or ashes back and I will be registering a complaint with the various agencies that oversee licensing of funeral homes as well as the BBB. Unreal that this is how the dead and their survivors are treated by this place. Avoid at all costs. I made a huge mistake choosing this place and now I feel like I let my mom down. I feel bad for everyone else that's in this position right now with this place.
Travis and Mindy did a good job during a very difficult time in losing our son. They delivered as they said they would. Only improvement I could suggest is letting us proof the pamphlet. Note this facility is not large 70 is what they say they accommodate and we had 150 which had people standing out front on the sidewalk so make sure you pick a place that can accommodate the size of your funeral we unfortunately way under estimated the amount of people that would attend. An area that Mindy and Travis went above and beyond for us was on the picture slide show. We didn’t build the photos into a slide show, we only gave them a thumb drive with all the photos and we needed to provide the slide show already built but they went and did it for us so they went above and beyond on that for us.
Kremer made one of the worst times in my life even more so. It took over 3 weeks to get cremation done, they’re sloppy with paperwork, they don’t return phone calls or emails despite pleading with them to get the simplest task done. I didn’t get the death certificate completed for a month, had to pick them up myself downtown at the courthouse and pay for them because I needed to pay for the funeral somewhere else and couldn’t get a hold of funds without it. I’ve given up trying to contact them to get reimbursed for them. An utter nightmare!
Should be 0 stars. Been trying to get my father-in-laws remains sent to his brother for almost two years. This is the most unprofessional funeral home I have ever dealt with. It took almost a year to get the death certificates and now I believe they have actually lost my father- in-laws remains. My husband calls almost everyday and no one answers the phone or even calls back. I am thinking we need to obtain an attorney. Anybody know a good one?
My brother died on 8/4/22 and we paid up front for a simple cremation will I never thought it would be 9/8 /22 when we finally received his ashes, I don't know why they couldn't give a straight answer as to when we would even get the the cremation done other than we are really busy, I would not recommend this funeral home for anyone to use. Very disappointing
Most unprofessional business I've ever seen. No communication and lack of common courtesy. Called and called regarding getting a loved ones remains put in an urn. It took nearly 2 weeks after the memorial to get a hold of anyone. An email was also sent and never answered. Lastly, had an appointment to handle the remains and we AGAIN had to call the poorly managed facility and ask if someone was on site as previously arranged.
This is without a doubt your Calming & Surreal Neighborhood Funeral Home just like the Good Ole day’s! Being comfortable with the people in charge of your loved one’s in your grieving time’s, This IS the place to be‼ Thx Kremer Funeral Home for your down home hospitality in the hardest of time & of NEED‼
If I could give this establishment 0 stars I would. They are unprofessional, won’t send death certificates, it has been months at this point!!! lock doors to their building during business hours, and don’t answer phone calls and rarely call back. The building hasn’t been updated since probably 1960s. And the cherry on top of this nightmare one member of the staff was dealing with us while only in sweatpants! Not suit or even a polo… sweats and a hoodie!… DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE CLOWNS
While the service was beautiful the lack of communication between staff and customer is very frustrating to say the least. In the time of grief the last thing someone wants to do is fight with the funeral home. I don’t think I would recommend this place to anyone in the future.
This is the most unprofessional place I've delt with. We've been waiting on updates or some sort of clear communication on getting my son's death certificate and they keep putting us off and lying, just coming up with any excuse to not do their job. I would never recommend this place to anyone that has lost their loved one.
