I want to compliment Dr. Richards - Boyd on the care in which she provided me along with the rest of the staff. I can not recall the ladies who took my blood and helped me but the brother there was Mr. Simmons like myself. As someone who never went to the doctor regularly, she definitely made me feel super comfortable. Also, the fact that I can make appts for 7am is a plus and the location has a coffee shop right next door. Great set up and service.
Dr. Shannon Ashley was my doctor when I was going to Piedmont and after she left the quality went down hill. I understand people venture out to different things in life, the quality of physicians replaced is with bad quality. The title behind the name MD really doesn't mean anything if the quality isn't there. My experience with Jamese-Boyd was okay. The office charged me $100 plus for the the doctor to tell me to get some flonase when turned out to be a sinus infection when I went to the ER. Now that I know where Dr. Ashley is I will resume being her committed patient. The rooms doesn't feel warm. Too many energy of souls been there which you all have a big turnover.
The absolute worst experience I have ever had at a doctors office. Dr Chowdhury showed up 1 hour late to the office so I rescheduled for later in the day. When I met him, he was abrasive, rude, and appeared to lack any understanding of medicine. He asked me to schedule a second visit to refill a basic prescription bc he didn’t have my prior medical records even though I had them on my phone. I will never return to Piedmont.
I saw Dr. Boyd today for the first time and she was fantastic! She was very compassionate and caring. I’ve already recommended her to several friends and colleagues. I also had a very easy time scheduling and checking in. The facility is clean, easy to find, and plenty of parking available. 10/10 experience.
Go in for a physical- they will charge you for a doctor’s visit. Never mind leaving you waiting in the exam room for an hour. Since I answered the doctor’s questions during my physical, I got a $220 bill. Going elsewhere for now on to avoid this scam.
I had an appointment with Dr. Richards-Boyd today and could not be more pleased with my experience. She was incredibly friendly, attentive and listened to everything I hd to say. She also talked me through a potential plan for next steps, which I appreciated. I also can't say enough about the phlebotomist, who asked me if I have any troubles with needles/blood drawls which I do, distracted me from the needle and checked in with me along the way. Highly recommend this location and Dr. Richards-Boyd!
If I could give the zero Stars I genuinely would. I used to see Dr Ashley and she was absolutely amazing. Then she left and I got randomly assigned to Dr Chowdhury. He is patronizing, abrasive, ableist, and spent the entire time I asked a question about my medication refills berating me and then threatening to not refill them which seems illegal. He told me that he would not communicate professionally as did not like my tone which he purposefully misinterpreted and in his first response to me he told me to leave Piedmont and seek care elsewhere. Will absolutely be taking that advice because I refuse to use him again.
I became a new patient then my doctor went on leave and now Inman park hospital WILL NOT fulfill my prescriptions. That’s malpractice. This office is malpractice.
I was seeing Dr. Ashley for years and adored her. I've sworn up and down she could move across the country and I'd follow her because she's been so great to me. I had an appointment scheduled with her this Friday and in my reminder from MyChart was shown scheduled with another doctor who I'm not familiar with. I called assuming surely this was a technical issues since I was given no notice about the change but sure enough Dr. Ashley has left the practice probably for good reason given the terrible reviews about everyone other than her. Again, I was not notified for consulted about this and was just expected to see a new doctor. This might be fine for some, but I have some pretty severe medical trauma and I will not be seen by a random doctor before doing my research and receiving recommendations. I asked in the meantime if my anti-depressant medications could be renewed and the answer was no, I'd have to be seen. Unreal. So I guess I will be quitting my antidepressants cold turkey next week once I run out, hope that goes well!
Dr. Ashley is the best doctor I’ve ever had, and I’ve dealt with a lot of doctors over the years. I have multiple chronic conditions and she’s the only doctor I’ve had who actually listens and doesn’t act like my needs make me a burden. I never feel rushed during our appointments. That means there is sometimes a wait, because she’s extending the same attention to all of her patients and not just churning through each appointment in 10 minutes. 100% worth the wait. The staff at this office are all super sweet and the facility is clean. Awesome hours. Conveniently located, though I get there on foot so I can’t attest to the parking situation. They’ve been doing remote appointments during the pandemic which has been terrific and I hope will continue after that’s over. I also really love the online patient portal, the ability to email directly with my doctor, and the fact that all Piedmont doctors have access to my information. The other doctor at this practice, Dr Chowdhury, is also very good. I had to see him a couple times while Dr Ashley was on a leave, and I felt properly attended to in his care. I recommend this facility to everyone for primary or urgent care needs!
