Easily 10 ! Dr. Marina S. Kurian is an exceptional professional. Two years ago she performed surgery on me. She was accessible, comforting, reassuring, accommodating, funny, incredibly knowledgeable, and never condescending or dismissive of my concerns or questions that certain YouTube videos moved me to ask her. I'm so glad that my primary doctor recommended her to me. He told me she was the best and I wholeheartedly agree. Her surgical team is also top of the line! She also has an amazing, professional, and wonderful supporting staff at her Manhattan location. Thank you all! Thank you Dr. Kurian!

ABOVE AND BEYOND!! I went see Dr. Kurian for a routine hernia repair, but was very nervous as it was my first experience with major surgery. Not only did she make herself available for last minute changes to my schedule but she put me at ease right away with her professionalism and level of experience. The surgery could not have gone smoother and I would recommend her to anyone for general surgery or to pursue something in her area of expertise. She is the best!

Dr Kurian is a very skilled, caring and kind physician. She explained everything that was going to happen during the procedure from beginning to end. She made sure I understood everything and answered all of my questions before and after surgery. Her staff is knowledgeable, warm and welcoming. I had gastric bypass in June and I have lost 80 lbs in 6 months. I am off all the diabetic medications and the medication for high blood pressure. She is the best!! Thank you Dr. Kurian for the wonderful care and support you provide and for giving me the tools to live a healthy life.

Dr. Kurian is super cool. She knows what she's doing and makes you feel comfortable at all times. My surgery was so successful, her staff is amazing. I would do it all again with her.

First I would love to say Shanice The “Surgical Coordinator “ / Dr. Kurian Assistant was so HELPFUL , PROFESSIONAL, and So easy to deal with through out this whole entire process. Even when your slacking on you’re part she’s picking up your slack by maintaining phone calls , appointments , emails , follow ups & everything else. My experience with her is like taking a exam in a classroom and the teacher is giving You all the answers and questions You need to know so that u can pass the test. Her work ethic is amazing and Dr. Kurian should be happy to have her . Now My experience with Dr. Kurian was also a mind blowing experience she’s so sweet , PROFESSIONAL, and caring. love the fact that she doesn’t have you waiting in the office for a long period of time. I recommend anybody who wants the Gastric Sleeve procedure done THIS IS THE RIGHT PLACE TO GO .... I’m 1 week & 1 Day Post Op and I feel so much better from when I left the hospital at NYU . I’m down 12 pounds already !!!!! NYU Hospital took great care of me . I had the best experience ever !!!!!

Saw Dr. Kurian back in 2014 had surgery with her in Jan 2015. This has been the best experience I had had with any surgeon. The way she interacts with patient and her bed side manners are on point. I will be thankful to her for changing my life for ever.

I wish I could give her more than 5 stars. I went to Dr. Kurian after having complications from the gastric sleeve that was done by a previous surgeon I had to have the sleeve converted to a bypass as well as needing a hiatal hernia repair. Dr. Kurian and the people in her office were wonderful. She went above and beyond to get my surgery approved. My surgery was a huge success and Dr. Kurian was a huge inspiration and support for me. She’s warm, caring and very talented. I am two years out and she is still my biggest supporter. I’ve surpassed my goal weight which she always told me I could do and I was able to have skin removal surgery recently. She changed my life and I recommend her to everyone I speak to.

She is the best! She will be with u threw your procedure and she will not let you go home unless your 100%. Her team is very caring and on point, Dr Marina is very attentive and knows what she is doing! Her whole team is very supportive and caring. My asthma caused me to stay a little longer that required but she made sure they kept her updated on my status. Dr. Kurian rocks!!! She is my star

I wish I could give Dr. Kurian more than 5 stars. I went to her after having complications from a previous gastric sleeve surgery by another doctor. I needed my sleeve converted to a bypass as well as a hiatal hernia repair. Dr. Kurian went above and beyond to get my surgery approved. With her skill and support, the gastric bypass and hernia repair were beyond successful. She was warm and truly cared about my short and long term success. I’m two years out and I still follow up with her. I also can’t say enough about her office staff, who always welcome me with a smile and friendly, professional assistance. Dr. Kurian was and still is my biggest supporter, encouraging me and motivating me even when my weight loss plateaued. Hey I’ve now surpassed my original goal weight and was recently able to have skin removal surgery. When I started this process, I was 240 and wearing a size 20. I’m now 153 and am wearing size 6 jeans. Thank you Dr. Kurian for changing my life!! I recommend her to everyone who asks about weight loss surgery. I had my gastric sleeve surgery 6/26/17 with Dr. Kurian and I am so happy I did. I researched many doctors and hospitals and after meeting her, she was my clear choice. She was personable, showed great care and was always concerned with my well being. She and her office staff were very helpful in getting all my appointments and medical issues taken care of in a timely fashion in order to have my surgery done right. So far I have lost 125 lbs and have 20 to go but this surgery saved my life. No more knee or back pain. My BP is normal and my sleep apnea is gone. I highly recommend her services. She truly is the best.
