Good service, friendly staff. I had my Ferris zero turn mower serviced. They did a good job. It took a while but I brought it in at the busiest point; the beginning of growing season. I recommend taking your lawn equipment in between Jan and March.

Known the Elter family over 40 yrs. Bought all my estate equipment from them and they have kept all the equipment working. Some of the items are over 40 yrs old also.
My experience here was nothing but amazing. I originally called this location for a scag v-ride but they did not have one in stock. But Lenny convinced me on a Gravely Pro Stance 36 demo version which they had at a great price. Lenny also gave me a demo in a neighbors yard up the street to make sure I was happy with the mower. Josh was great as well in helping me with all the paperwork and getting my vehicle prep to tow the mower homethey let me use one of their trailers free of charge for transporting my mower home. I even met the man himself Mr. L.J. Elter, very nice and hard working man even at his age of 83. I did wait a while for my mower but that was because Lenny was fixing my grass catcher clip and did a full service on the mower before I took it home. Overall these guys were great and I recommend if your looking for a mower to go ahead and come here to buy your next one. Thanks guys!
I want to let everyone know that I found a company that is semi local to me Huntingtown, MD that provided me with exceptional service and had all of the products I needed at a fair and reasonable price. They were super knowledgeable, honest, and have a lot of integrity. They did not try to upsell, just down home, great people. Their shop and yard are a little cluttered but with lots of choices. If you need any lawn and garden power equipment take the ride and visit L.J. Elter and Son, they have been in business since 1978, understandably, with service like I received.
We went to this location because Mr. Elter is a great guy. I hope that our experience here isn't indicative of the way he trains his staff, though, because not only was the young man at the front counter refusing to comply with mask ordinances, but he actively brought up and argued the point with my father who just wanted to get his tiller fixed. We will not give our time and money to a company staffed by people who care so little for the health and safety of others. I really hope, like I said, that this is one isolated incident with one individual employee, and that in the future employees are taught to respect and care about not only the customer, but the current laws and ordinances that govern the area they do business in.
I have had the opportunity to visit the Annapolis Maryland store . I had the pleasure of working with employees Page and Sean who were not only very helpful but they were extremely knowledgeable . Friend of mine recommended this place. I was not only happy with the equipment sold the amount of knowledge presented to me was incredible . If You are looking for great quality equipment. Visit the Annapolis store and ask these two individuals. I found they not only sell the best equipment but they were extremely helpful in determining the best equipment for my needs . It does help that they sell the best yard and garden homeowner as well as commercial equipment . Most enjoyable experience .
Way overpriced, but they have the market cornered. I was quoted a full maintenance cycle oil change, spark plug, filters, etc for $199.00. I thought that was pricey, but overall, not horrific. Found out when I picked it up that 199 only included labor. Seriously! Maintenance that only takes me an hour for every bit of it, costs over 2 hrs in labor. $27 in labor to put 1 tube in a front tire. $342.38 out the door. What a scam! I learned my lesson and I won't be going back.
