The family and I came to La Calle for something new for dinner and they didn’t disappoint. Even though I couldn’t have much on the menu due to allergies everyone else had street tacos and they were tasty. It’s interesting how they put cucumber in the guac. I recommend giving this place a try it’s inexpensive as well.Food: 5/5
Friendly staff. Food is very good. Have visited a few times and I enjoy the visit every time. The daily specials are awesome. Perfect for a late night dinner. The street tacos lacked a bit meat, but tasted good. The torta was well made and tasted good.Food: 4/5
Just so you know there is no vegetarian or Vegan option. Only thing they remotely have close to Vegetarian and Vegan is the Taco with Gucamole, doesn't sound too appetizing though. But their street tacos for meat options are good and pricing is decent. Good happy hour deals as well. The frozen margaritas with triple sec is strong but good. 2 of those and u r all lit for the night lol.
We enjoyed our first breakfast taco experience here because the tacos were great but there needs to be a vegetarian protein option instead of odd looks when no meat is requested. Nice to be able to add so many additional toppings in the self serve bar although it's a bit overwhelming to choose. Also I'm not sure if they actually added the 10% discount for showing a metro bus ticket
Stopped in for a quick bite. Kinda pricey… but what isn’t these days?. I had the 3 tacos + shrimp ceviche+ a mango margarita which ran me almost $50 including the tip. The tacos were a tad spicy nothing too extreme it just meant I couldn’t share with my baby which was a bummer. The ceviche could’ve used more lime/ flavor but tasted fresh. The mango margarita was strong. Overall…not worthy of a second visit but I’ve passed it many times while in the area so glad I gave it a try. The food came out quickly which was a plus.
I agree with some of the comments about the quality/quantity of the food not matching the price. It does seem overpriced. The sauce is really good but some of the meats were lacking. The ambiance is great, unique and I liked the bar attached on the side definitely a fun place if you're on the bar side.
First time visiting this taco joint. I loved the concept that they have, a smooth and quick ordering system. They have drinks, including beers in a cooler that you can grab first, and then you proceed to ordering your tacos directly from the staff, so you see the way they’re making them in front of you. Menu is not too big, very simple, good options. Staff was not very friendly, or accommodating. Cool concept, love the salsa bar, they have spicy options, which is not so typical, I love spicy. Food was all right, very greasy. The space is divided in two, they have a bar next-door, where you can also sit down and order food. Cool space, recommend.
The suadero & carnitas street tacos were my favorite !! The meat is so juicy and flavorful. The pork rinds with guacamole made the perfect appetizer. Their aguas frescas are so refreshing in this weather ! I also love the Mexican inspired decor all throughout the restaurant, I will be backFood: 5/5
This is definitely the spot for tacos especially late night because they are open until 2. They make everything in front of you and you customize it to your liking. I always get the gringo tacos. 5 stars hands down!Food: 5/5
This place has delicious food, great service and friendly helpful staff. The place is clean. There are two parts to it. The restaurant part and the bar. The women's restroom was spacious and clean. Prices are about average. Especially for the downtown area. However, parking can be a problem at times. There's plenty of street parking and open lots where you pay nearby. Try it, and you will be pleasantly surprised by the authentic Mexican food, decor, and music. No Tex-Mex here.
