Had a large group business dinner here and we really enjoyed the evening. The service was spot on and the menu, from drinks to food was excellent. We shared many of their small plates to start mushrooms, peppers and green beans and I had beer. For my entree, I had the pork chop, which was very well seasoned and awesome. My neighbor had one of the many paellas, which smelled amazing. If you think Spanish food is your thing, then this is a great spot.
I went to this restaurant with my colleagues to have lunch during the NYC Restaurant Week. What lured me into this restaurant was an interesting menu that I saw on the web site. I was quite impressed with all the dishes that I tried, particularly Roasted Garlic Shrimp Tamale as the taste and presentation exceeded my expectations. Brooke Trout was perfectly cooked, well seasoned and presented, cauliflower puree had a nice velvety texture and flavor. For dessert I had Dulce De Leche Cheesecake, and I loved every bite of it.
This place has was amazing and with our group of 5 there was not one of us that had a negative thing to say Victoria and Mathew who greeted us made everyone feel welcomed
Not a bad selection of appetizers. A few good beers on the menu, but I was expecting a bit more from their drink menu personally. The wines were decent. It's more of a good stop before you catch a train. Not extremely noisy, so nice to be there with colleagues to catch up. The service was great.
Our group of six well traveled epicureans had nothing but rave reviews of the food. Each Tapas was delicious and beautifully presented. We sampled all of them. The paellas were all delicious. Again we sampled all three offering on the prix fixe menu. The vegetarian options were excellent. The best part of the evening was our attentive and informative servers led by Estelle. Five stars for service on a quiet Monday evening.
I just ate an incredible meal here... I rarely write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience. So many places near Grand Central are overpriced and tourist traps, but this restaurant is an exception. The service was excellent, the vibe was lively and casual though the formal seating area in the back was quieter and very beautiful, but the food was by far the best part. I had the salmon, shoshito peppers, and the signature tuna tacos. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly, and the prices were great for the quality and portion sizes. They also have paella, which was a nice surprise on the menu and looked very good. I can't recommend enough. The meal was delicious. I will definitely be back to try more.
Nice environment and Estrella on tap. Waiter was very nice and provided great service. Food was poor. Burger $18 was supposed to be medium rare, but very well done everywhere outside of the center. Problem is there were little bone fragments in the burger. May have been an off day, but not a great experience for our group.
Great visit and t big e food is excellent to come back and try other
Right next to Grand Central? What do you expect? I came here just to try the food, but very quickly spent a lot of money to get a half empty stomach. Tapas and wine just makes it too easy to continuously shell it out... It's just so easy to order everything. I had the pork burger-looking thing and the raw tuna tacos. They were both extremely good, but I left with the feeling of needing more. I don't think I can recommend this place to purely eat when there are so many other places to go. The drinks, however, are delicious and the atmosphere is classy. I'm sure if you come here after 6, you'll see a lot of traders and bankers in their reverse commute.
Convenient location since it's at Grand Central and the space is very nice inside, and you totally don't feel like you're at the station. And the food was very good, but I do think it was a tab over-priced. The service and ambiance are worth it for sure and the sangria, duh! but just keep an eye on prices. The food is definitely good though and it's a great place for a small group to get together to catch up.
