Chicken and potato tamales and carne asada tacos. Tamale was mostly bone and potato but had great flavor and was perfectly cooked in the banana leaf. Tacos were on point and the salsa verde was excellent. Warning it’s spicy but so good. Take out window only service is good took about 15 minutes and they accept cards.
This restaurant is a hidden gem! We get takeout regularly and the food is always delicious. Some of our favorites are baleadas, papusas, and seafood soup. Oh my!! They are all so good! And if they have the plantain empanadas, get one! It's filled with cream, fried and coated in sugar! Vegetarian options: Baleadas can be ordered with any of the options eggs, cheese, crema, avocado, beef
I'm sure they can do better, but this time they disappointed me, my carne asada was salty and my pupusas were very oily, Also dine-in weren't available had to eat in the carFood: 1/5
This is the only Salvadoran restaurant in Louisville that I know of and it's a great hidden gem! Their menu is on the smaller side, but everything on it sounds great. The tacos dorados are fried taquitos and the pupusas are essentially tortillas stuffed with meat. The food tastes great and is relatively inexpensive for the portion sizes. While I don't think they serve alcohol, they have various bottled soft drinks and juices. It's worth a try!
I have driven past this place a hundred times, I finally got a chance to stop by, and I've been missing out! Delicious, fresh, and flavorful!! I will definitely be going back soon.
Have been twice now and everything I’ve had has been amazing. The pupusas are to die for, horchata is phenomenal, the carne asada is just Super friendly as well. Definitely recommend.
The pupusas are five star. Mixta is the way to go but the queso con loroco is a winner too. Chicharron was just good not over the top amazing. Price point is what makes this a five star spot all together. The area and place itself isn't going to impress anyone but its really more of a take out place anyways. The food is fantastic and the portion just right.
this is a very friendly family owned business with great food at a great price. my family an i love to get food from here always satisfied never had to return or wait long! try it out! Moe
We pass this place all the time and always wanted to stop. Finally did. After a language barrier and being told 3 different prices for the food. Was told 25 min wait. After waiting 45mins and was seeing people after us getting their order. My husb askes about ours she then forgot our order and He was told 5 more mins. My husband asked for a refund and then she said she doesn't understand english. He then used google translator get the refund. She rolled her eyes then gave the money back. And we left.
Good food but they let a drunk homeless guy that frequents the place and seems to man the parking lot harass everyone and ask for parking fee. Seems they don't care to lose business because of this maybe he is the owner
