Walked here for breakfast each morning we were in Portland. Both days we ordered Huevos Rancheros and Huevos a la Mexicana. Excellent food and excellent portions. Looking forward to visiting the city again and returning to La Jarochita!
One of the O.G. Mexican food carts in Portland. Truly part of the first wave of Pdx food cart madness. La Jarochita’s Oak St. location has been cooking up phenomenal tacos, burritos, platos, breakfast etc. for over a decade now. Al Pastor add avo. Asada Fajita and Chorizo w/ Egg Burritos are my fave. The hot sauces are way above average. You get 2 free but do yourself a favor and add the others. You can thank me later!$!
Used to work 2 blocks away from here and would frequent a couple times every week. Absolutely great place to get some tacos! Lots of options! Would def recommend!
My all time favorite place to get a quick bite. Food is Delicious!! Love carnita taco with tender pork, salad, corn tortilla, top with their special homemade green avocado spicy sauce, fantastic! If you ear there, sometimes you get extra slices of avocado on your taco. You can't beat the price, such a bargain. I can come here everyday. , , , .
I honestly wasn’t expecting much, but wow, the carne asada tacos were amazing. The carnitas was equally delicious! Highly highly recommend La Jarochita!
I love the tacos here. Very inexpensive, but not lacking quality ingredients. Perfect spot for your quick lunch break downtown. I thought the carnitas tacos were the best, but the barbacoa is pretty amazing!
Delicious! I love that they have a brick'n'mortar to sit and chill when I'm not in a rush to get back to work. #tacotuesday is great!
Nice food cart. Meal was pretty much freshly made. Good seasoning and worthwhile main meal portion in a $7.50 combination plate, with a smaller side salad and fresh avocado. Carbonated drinks sold separately from food regardless if it was a taco or combination plate. Combination plate was definitely a MEAL. Good understanding of English. This was a popular cart for dinner when I came by tonight 5 people were ahead of me. Side seating available between food carts 4-5 bar chairs with narrow table ledge.
Delicious! I had 2 fish tacos and the chicken tamale. The tamale was unreal! Nicely savory and you could taste the banana leaf infused into it. Highly recommend.
Great tacos at an extremely cheap price. Having shredded lettuce is a little bit of a dissapoitment but where else can you get $1 tacos that taste this good.
