The La Maison is a gem in midtown. The extra little touches provided make for a calm, relaxing stay. Breakfast was amazing and should not be missed. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!Rooms: 5/5
A friend recommended this place...Great email communication regarding the check in process. The staff on property was very nice and accommodating. The amenities are definitely what you would expect of an old New Orleans bed & breakfast. Unfortunately, our room needed an updated TV, new carpet, and updated paint. Would love to visit again and try a new room!
La Maison Midtown is a gem of a bed and breakfast. The rooms are large, well kept, clean, and nice. The house itself if very nice too. Breakfast was so good. Also, I left a clothing item behind. The owner called, texted, and emailed me that same day asking if she could mail it back to me. What great customer service! I highly recommend La Maison.
We stayed here while visiting our daughter. The B&B hotel is very comfortable and was quiet at night and beds were comfy. It was a pleasure meeting the owners, Genora and Sharon. We enjoyed the wonderful breakfasts and evening wine happy hour. Great and convenient location and safe neighborhood with off street parking. Before you book inquire about the rooms as they vary in size and features.
Beautiful little boutique hotel! The room was so comfortable. Or was I just exhausted? Lol no. The room was very comfortable. We stayed in one of the rooms that had a spa tub. Admittedly, the shower was a little difficult to work. We never quite understood how to change the setting from faucet to showerhead. There was not champagne available in the morning for mimosas. However, there was a nice breakfast prepared of premade food. We did arrive late, and there was a note on the door as well as instructions of who to contact for late entry. At first we were a little concerned that we weren’t gonna be able to check in because no one was answering the phone. The bed was so comfortable! And plenty of parking. The photo show the parlor downstairs.
Excellent rooms with thoughtful amenities. The breakfast was delicious and the Urban High Tea with the wine was perfect. The bed and breakfast is in the perfect location in Midtown to enjoy a great meal, or drink. Rooms: Each room has it's own personality with things like comfortable beds, and pillows to the other thoughtful amenities like robes, and towels. Nearby activities: There are some great nearby bars and lounges to enjoy the night life of Houston. Safety: Ms. Owens and Ms. Boykins the owners do a great job of ensuring the safety of their guest with cameras and codes that only give the guests access to the bed and breakfast. Walkability: It is located in walking distance of some of the best restaurants in the Houston area. Food & drinks: The breakfast was delicious from Chef Hopkins each morning and the wine and snacks during Urban High Tea were a great surprise. Noteworthy details: We love the little things that they thought of for their guest such as seating areas on the balcony, to all the amenities in the bathroom area and the welcoming parlor area to relax and/or read.
Overall, just an amazing experience! Quiet and serene environment! The room was elegant and very comfortable. The fresh roses in the room was a very nice touch!!!!! Anytime I stay in Houston, this is where I will stay! I couldn't complement them enough. We didn't stay around too enjoy the breakfast, but my fiance and I were very pleased with everything else!!!! Thank you so much for making our Houston trip an enjoyable and relaxing one!!!!!!
Excellent location, room, and host. Breakfast is the best and sets you up for the day. Why stay at a hotel when you can stay at a friendly place, a home away from home.Rooms: 5/5
This was an experience. Such a beautiful place and almost everything or places we wanted to go were in walking distance. The breakfast prepared was outstanding. The owners were very nice and went overboard on the preparations.Rooms: 5/5
This was the most uniquely wonderful surprise I've ever had in hospitality! I was looking for a place to stay in Houston that wasn't a generic, forgettable corporate box. La Maison lands at the other end of the spectrum: every detail is beautifully, thoughtfully designed, and the entire experience is rendered with care and love for what they do there. The proprietors, Sharon and Genora, are welcoming and passionate about providing wonderful hospitality, which they deliver in spades. The rooms are immaculate, comfortable and luxurious. Comfy rocking chairs on the balcony are shaded by just enough tree cover to feel sheltered from the hustle and bustle of the city. Chef Julia JuJu conjured up the most magical breakfast I've ever had, by far. Not only is she a delightful person and an enormously gifted chef, she is also brimming with smart, innovative ideas that can change the world. It felt like a true gift to encounter these extraordinary women in such a magical place. La Maison was the most memorable experience of my visit to Houston, and I hope it continues to thrive for years to come!
