Moldy bread?! I cannot believe you gave me moldy bread. Completely unacceptable. The bread was hard, jelly was hard, mild touching my other food! Couldn't even eat what I paid for. Complete waste of money.Food: 1/5
The hole in the wall place for tasty tacos and bakery yummies. The bakery variety is descent with about a dozen selections. Palmiers, muffins, rolled cake and more. The bakery definitely warrants a worthy visit all by itself and what I should also say, make sure you know, is the tacos!!!! The babacoa taco is by far one of the best I have ever had. The beef is so tender and much more beefier than any others I have had. The toppings simple yet fresh, adding the perfect crunch and tomato onion taste. The salsa is excellently spicy with lovely favors of tomatillo. Definitely come visit, get your tacos and pick up some pastry. Happy eating
The atmosphere is pretty old school. Which is OK because some like the small bread smelling bakery type spots. I'm not complaining, I love the smell there. The menudo is awesome Tacos are great, and the pan bread is something that I haven't tried yet but will soon. Vegetarian options: I had a cactus taco there that was great.
I visited early 4/11/2024, bought bread and kolaches, bread was cold and hard, kolaches cold, asked if they were fresh, the lady pointed to the microwave, paid and left, upon further inspection one of the kolaches had light mold underneath.Food: 1/5
Stopped by this little gem for some breakfast tacos and they were AWESOME. I can't wait to come back and try the menudo.Food: 5/5
Every time I visit Houston I come here. They have the best breakfast tacos- the staff is always so nice. Love this place for a quick taco! I haven’t had any breads or pastries yet.
I've been stopping here frequently for about 2 months for breakfast tacos, I wish they had more options other than everything with potatoes. Today I asked to have beans in the taco and it was not good, it's obvious that it came from cans. What got me to write this not so good review is that today I ordered sweet bread for the office and realized that it's stale, maybe three days old? Warming it up in the microwave did not help. The ladies working there are nice and courteous.
I wanted a Mexican donut so bad. The lady dropped my bag of bread on the floor. She said oh the donut didn't hit the dirt. Are you sure? She should have just given me a new one. Floors are dirty & filled w bacteria. For hygiene & health safety purposes she should have given me a clean bag of bread. Be nice to your customers. Makes me wonder what else are you picking up from the dirty floors and selling to me?
Hands down best breakfast and lunch tacos in Houston fresh-made tortillas everyday and unlike other restaurants their meat is fresh & friendly staff definitely a hidden gem in Houston
Neighborhood gem. From tacos to sweet breads. Everything is great.Food: 5/5
