LaGuardia Acting Studio

I had never taken an acting class before and I was nervous never having experience but Joshua made me feel so comfortable and really inspired me to keep taking classes. Each class I learn so much and it is so much fun I look forward to class every week. Even if you don't want to pursue acting professionally it is still a great experience and really brought me out of my shell. So if anyone is looking to be an actor or just want to be in a nonjudgmental and creative atmosphere I suggest you sign up for a class!

Joshua Nelson is an impeccable acting teacher, from pushing actors out of their own comfort zones and strengthening some actor’s weaknesses...he’s easily one you can fully trust on. Majority of acting teachers/coaches have none or minimal experience when it comes to acting...However, Joshua does! proving that he knows what an actor really needs to survive in the acting world. Overall, would greatly recommend even if acting isn’t your calling and you just want an honest fun experience to get out of your own bubble.

Josh is amazing! He helps students on and off class. I'll send an email asking for materials to practice or advice, and he'll respond within hours. Classes are helpful but most importantly... FUN!

Joshua is amazing. Being trained primarily in Musical Theatre, I was nervous making the transition into film training. Working with him has not only inspired me, but made me feel unstoppable. Weather you are taking Acting 101 to cover the basics, or pushing yourself in an agent showcase-the skills you learn are crucial. As an actor it's important to have a teacher who know the ins and outs of the business. My only wish is that he could be right next to me at every audition I attend. I am more than grateful to have found LaGuardia Acting Studio and I intend to keep Joshua around for the long haul!

I was really nervous to take acting classes because I lean towards being an introvert. But Josh is really fun and he makes the environment a great experience for everyone. Im having a blast. Im so glad I had the courage to sign up for this class. And I feel SOOO lucky to have Josh as my teacher. This guy is all aces.
