Lakes Middle School

Many students at Lakes deal with bullying and the counslers don't do anything about the matter. The 6th grade staff is amazing but only one of the older grades teachers care about the students well being. People suffering with any issues like anxiety or depression should not enroll here. I have a friend who is unique and he gets bullied all the time. The students treat each other with such disresepct it is honestly sad. Please don't have qny LGBTQ+ people here either. Myself being in this community, I recognize that this school doesn't give one rats ass. Lakes is horrible.

When I went here in sixth grade I was horribly bullied, the staff didn't care whatsoever. They told me to "suck it up" or "kids are mean it's not that bad". I was bullied to the point where the kids would horribly beat me up, id come home with bruises all over and in terrible pain. I'd stay home as much as I could just to get away from the kids there. I took a year off and went to homeschooling, I came back this year (2017-18) hoping it'd be better. It wasn't, if anything it was worse. The kids are awful, the staff doesn't do anything to help other than telling you to talk to the councilors about your feelings. Half the time I can't even get in with the councilor unless my mum is with me, which shouldn't happen. I'm currently in the process of being unenrolled in this school and hopefully I'll never have to come back to it. My advise to parents who are looking into this school, don't send your children here. Just don't. This school will eat them alive. Spare your childrens middle school experience by picking literally any other school than this one. No one cares here, its not worth putting your child through hell. Take it from a kid who knows first hand.

I would like to tell you something. If you are a parent thinking about taking your child to this school, dont. I have been bullied since I started this school and I took it to the administrators of the school and they did nothing. Still bullied but at this point there is no reason to go to the counclers or the principal because they won't do a thing.
