I had a great experience with Dr. Lane and his staff. I had my wisdom teeth extracted yesterday and they helped me to relax and explain step by step what I should expect and tried their best to comfort me. The surgery was super simple and they sent me home with all the info I needed. I would definitely recommend Dr. Lane. He was very nice and honest with me.
Literally the absolute worst bedside manner you could imagine. I’ll start from the beginning so it’s real clear- Went for a 3rd molar extraction on the bottom jaw. Consultation was 90.00, fair. He came in, spent literally 4 minutes with me. Told me nothing outside of that because I’m “a bigger guy” it was going to be “aggressive” my teeth were NOT impacted by the way. He didn’t stay long enough in the room to ask many questions and his nurses were equally as awful. So they sent me to reception to provide an estimate and such. Oh, mind you during my “consult” he said he likes to make sure people are good and out before he begins because “he doesn’t like negative reviews online”. Well... flash forward to today. His office staff are some of the rudest people I’ve ever encountered. Disorganized is an understatement. I show up early for my appointment- the door is locked. People run late, it happens. So then they start calling me basically accusing me of not showing. So I tell the woman on the phone that me and 5 other people are waiting outside and that the door is locked. She argues with me and hesitantly sent someone to check. Low and behold it was locked. Easy mistake. The indignation from his staff was unbelievable. So we finally make it back to the room and the ‘nurse’ put some clips on my ankle and forearm to monitor my vitals. He comes in and says really nothing. Explained nothing and then sprayed some cold stuff to start the IV which frankly was the best part of the time there. So they start. At no point did they tell me what they were injecting, what I may experience or anything of that nature. IM. STILL. AWAKE. so they start and I jump a few times and get scolded for moving. I mention that I feel it and it hurts and was ignored. Not even reassured that it’s normal. So they complete that one. They proceed to the other side and it hurts worse. I again mentioned that I felt it and it was hurting. Not a peep. I mention this again after they finish and I was told “we “gave” you 3 times “more” and you’re “just hard to sedate”. At this point I’m so offended that I just want to leave. So thankfully he finishes this extraction process. Basically they take all the stuff off 2 clamps and spo2 monitor and tell me to sit up. Off into a wheelchair I went to be driven home. It was the worst dental experience I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t recommend this practice to my worst enemy 10 times over. There’s better doctors out there who actively listen and display remote kindness. Sadly. This is not the practice for that. If you want a McDonald’s experience, please by all means this is the practice for you.
WARNING! DO NOT come here! The office side of this business is dishonest and unhelpful. They told me the services I needed were covered under my insurance. Then then totally botch the filing process and leave me to pick up the pieces. Finally, after FIVE MONTHS and multiple headaches, they let me know that their services are actually not covered under my plan and I'm out thousands of dollars. So much for due diligence. Learn from my misfortune and stay away.
I have been to Dr. Lane's office several times over a period of years. I have been satisfied with his services. He is gentle, painless, extremely competent and reassuring. I continue to be one of his patients.
Was scared to death when I was told I needed oral surgery. I was referred to Dr. Lane. He was such a professional and just a good guy. His staff was excellent and the whole experience was way better than I expected. Painless and no complications. If you’re afraid of going to the dentist, don’t be. Go to this guy.
They demand payment up front regardless whether you have insurance. They file the claim and do not send all pertinent information to the insurance company. You are left waiting for the claim to be completed. I won’t be back.
