Very beautiful garden. Although a bit sad, it's peaceful and quiet. The neighborhood used to be not the greatest but, it has come pretty far. So glad to see that even though you see some homeless people around, nobody seems to really mess with this place either. Maybe they feel the VEGAS STRONG spirit. The memorial sites for each one of the victims are very heartfelt. The community did great with getting together and creating this place.
A beautiful memorial garden for the victims of the October 1, 2017 shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival by a lone shooter operating from the Mandalay Bay hotel. It is a very nice set up with lots of attention to all victims. The garden is clean and nobody seems to have messed with it. The major down side is the absolute terrible location. Parking is not possible at the site and needs to be done e in one of the more sketchy side streets. Also, this memorial should have been at the shooting site and not hidden somewhere obscure.
It was a beautiful, clean, and emotional garden. It was an amazing tribute to all the fallen people on Oct. 1. The trees, stories, butterflies, and water feature. The rememberance wall and the angel wings are so majestic. A wonderful place to visit and never forget.
Beautiful memorial for those affected. Loved reading about each person and cherished memories. What is disappointing is the two people on drugs that were barely sitting on a bench in there, homeless person sleeping on another sitting place and all the trash and weeds everywhere. If there’s people that are supposed to take care of this place then do better!!
The Las Vegas Community Healing Garden in downtown Las Vegas came together in three days to honor those that were felled on October 1, 2017, by the sniper at the Route 91 Harvest music festival. The garden has a stunning Remembrance Wall together with 58 trees...each one honoring a life lost. If you see the garden at first you may be unimpressed by its simplicity. But knowing it's history, it is a powerful sight that you need to experience. 5 x
A superbly put together memorial garden for the 58 victims of the October 2017 Route 91 Mass shooting. This healing garden remembers them and does them proud. A moving experience.
This must be one of the most beautiful places in Las Vegas. It's a memorial to commemorate the people who lost their lives on Oct 1st, 2017 - the deadliest mass shooting in recent US history. It's filled with notes, poems, photos, artwork, a Remembrance wall, and a tree for each of the initial 58 people who lost their lives. The park was built in 4 days by the local community. You're sure to shed a tear.
The Las Vegas community at large has put together a touching and meaningful memorial for all the Route 91 Festival victims in the form of a remembrance garden. They have taken the time to not only place significant memorial stones and walls, but have trees dedicated to each victim, with stories and family memorials to those we lost. In a town that is excitedly intense all day long, it is a long, worthwhile pause to remember what is truly important in this world.
I was @ The Route 91 Festival on October 1st. My Friend & His Wife carried Me out to safetyI am disabled I was glad to hear when they opened The Healing Garden for the 58 who are no longer with us & the 500+ who were injured. I go by every MondayUnless I'm in the Hospital. I am EXTREMELY PLEASED with the Garden- A great tribute & a tranquil place! highly recommend it!
I'm so happy we have a place to go to here in downtown Las Vegas to pay our respects to the ones that lost their lives during the shootings that took place on October 1st, 2017. The place is kept up so nice and the grounds have such a peaceful and calming feeling. I thought they were going to move it somewhere else last year and was sad, but it never happened. If you are in town as a visitor, I highly recommend to come visit this beautiful park. Thank you and Happy Holidays! Michael
