After having retained an attorney in my divorce and child support matters, I was extremely disappointed. There was no communication between myself and my former attorney. By chance, I was recommended to Mia Poppe's office. I walked into the Law Firm of Shaw & Associates, P.C. to make an appointment and immediately knew I made the right decision when Jill and Angie took time to talk to me prior to scheduling a consultation. Mia and her staff got to work immediately and fought for me in ways that I couldn't have even thought of. They communicated with me every step of the way. She told me all of my options and their likely outcomes. She stepped in right in the middle of things and was prepared to go to trial immediately if necessary to protect my rights. In the end, Mia got me a great settlement, she got me out of court, and most importantly, she made sure that I would always have a great relationship with my kids. Billing her clients is not her main priority because all she wants is what's best for her clients. She knows what she's doing. I wish I had known her from day 1. She and her firm really do deserve a medal.

My experience with my divorce before meeting Mia and her firm was terrible. I didn't have representation and having Mia and Jill were like life savers, they came in at the time when I was ready to give up The day that I met Mia in court, my whole life changed. She brought me to reality and told me not to give up. She fought for me and made sure my rights were protected, getting me more than I ever expected. I was going through a terrible health crisis when I began this whole process, and Mia and the Firm stuck by me. The Law Firm Of Shaw & Associates were there to help me. They are the best I have ever known. If it weren't for them, I don't know where I would be. Even after my case has finished, I still receive phone calls from these wonderful ladies to check in on me and see how I'm doing. From the bottom of my heart, I love this Firm and the ladies who work there.

I interviewed over 15 lawyers until I met Mia. I went to the first hour consultation and immediately I knew that she was the professional that should represent me in my divorce. My case, as probably many others, changed from a simple case to a complicated one after my partner changed her mind over and over on our settlement agreement. Mia took the lead and closed my - over 2 year - process divorced in less than 5 months. Her team (specifically Jill) is capable, professional, smart and punctual. I fully recommend Mia and her firm.

When I first had my consultation with Mia Poppe, I came out of her office knowing I needed her to represent me for my relocation custody case. . She was very upfront in letting me know the difficulty of relocation orders but at the same she had this drive that everyone wants their lawyers to have as well as so much knowledge in that area that it made me instantly make my decision to go for it . As my case grew a bit complicated and began to shift away from the relocation custody focus I began working more with Jillian Castrellon who really advocated for me . She understood my needs and wants and represented me in that same way . She didn't back down and that made me feel good as a client . Working with Mia Poppe and Jillian Castrellon were like the dream team. They were accessible when I needed them for anything regardless of the time of the day or night. The outcome was satisfying and I am grateful that during the most anxiety driven and stressful time of my life I had these two ladies on my side .
