David Garnes is excellent father’s advocate. For my custody case i am an out of state parent and Mr Garnes was able help me navigate the courts process. He was able to help secure parenting time in my home state after the lengthy court process. Mr Garnes took over my case when my original lawyer became stagnate, with being out of state I need someone who was going to fight for my parental right for me in the state of NJ. Mr Garnes advised on what a realistic view of what my parenting time should look like and advocated for my child best interests. In my experience Mr Garnes was reachable by email and scheduled phone calls. His office was also very helpful and skillful to help with scheduling when I needed to speak with him I would also email, text, and leave a message with the office. If you are an active father who wants results and someone who will fight for what is fair and right then you would do yourself a favor by seeking council from Mr Garnes and his team.

I had the unfortunate experience of hiring Attorney David Garnes for my legal matters, and it was nothing short of a nightmare. His lack of professionalism, responsiveness, and accountability was appalling and caused significant harm to my case. Despite my continuous attempts to communicate and seek guidance on urgent issues, Mr. Garnes repeatedly failed to respond to my calls, emails, and texts. He consistently blamed me for delays, even though he had previously stated that certain documents were not needed to file motions. For instance, I had no access to the required tax documents, yet he assured me the motions could be submitted without them. When I followed up for status updates, he never responded, leaving my case in limbo. In court, Mr. Garnes was utterly unprepared. He allowed opposing counsel to dominate the proceedings without any meaningful defense on my part. My issues were never heard, and instead of taking responsibility, he continued to blame me for his failures. I had to do all the legwork, including writing detailed PowerPoint presentations and organizing case details, only to be ignored. Even more infuriating was his lack of engagement as my attorney. Despite knowing my funds were depleted and my physical health was deteriorating, he showed no concern for my situation. His neglect allowed my wife and her counsel to manipulate the system to their advantage. He failed to file critical motions and left me to face the consequences of his inaction. Compounding the issue, Mr. Garnes informed me that he was in the hospital on July 1, yet his office indicated that he was working and attending court. I have a divorce settlement scheduled for July 31, and my "attorney" hasn't spoken to me since March. He dodged all my meeting requests with pacifying text messages, providing no real assistance or support. To make matters worse, Mr. Garnes cherry-picked our email conversations to paint a misleading picture, ignoring crucial parts of our exchanges. He never mentioned his vacation plans when we last spoke, only to use them as an excuse for his lack of responsiveness later. His selective communication and refusal to take responsibility for his professional obligations were beyond frustrating. The email evidence clearly shows his neglect and failure to represent me adequately. Unfortunately, this entire ordeal has caused immense stress and financial loss, and I am now seeking new legal representation to clean up the mess he left behind. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, avoid Attorney David Garnes at all costs. His incompetence and lack of professionalism are detrimental to any client's case. Do not hire this man.

This lawyer breaches codes of ethics. Willing and with intent lied to Judge Daniel A Bernardin to expedite our child scheduling under false pretenses. They knew she was waitlisted and proceeded to give the court a fake deadline of a start date she was waitlisted for. Then advised his client according Mr. Green, that he was in the right to hold our child hostage during my custody week, knowing the courts said they had not made a decision on sept 5th 2024 at 9:38am. Yet his client admittedly kept the child because of lawyer telling him he was in the right. So just be aware that Mr Garnes operate his firm using tactics of deceit , contracting language and misrepresentation

Wouldn’t give this attorney 1 star if I had the choice. My fiancée has been having issues getting his daughter from the mother, we hired this man to represent my fiancée in court. After this “attorney” received payment he went ghost. He does not return calls, So out of the blue he tells my fiancée that he can’t go to court because he is going on vacation!!!! And that some lady named Tamara Sharp which is his assistant is going to represent him in court. This man is so unprofessional, and does not care about your case, he basically is a ghost. You can’t see him , you can’t talk to him.

Mr. Garnes is pretty much a ghost. He will talk to you, but you will never meet him in person, and when he takes your money, he is hard contact very last minute with everything. Mr. Garnes had a conference with a judge that I knew nothing about, and sent his assistant, and when I received the audio recording, I found out he was not at the conference when I asked him about it, he had no response it never mentioned that he would not be in the conference very unprofessional, and was not in the contract, and had I known I would’ve asked him to reschedule very unprofessional and unreliable

I had a free consultation with The Law Offices of David Garnes. Not only was my case heard but I was given very honest and selfless advice. My case should be heard outside of the NJ jurisdiction. Where many Law Offices would take a fee and a retainer sending me on a financial goose chase, this Law firm did not take advantage and chose to set me on a path that makes the most Legal sense. I would strongly suggest this Law firm based off of the integrity as well their ability to take in and understand the complications of my case. I must say their receptionist and or paralegal was also beyond helpful and kind as well.
