Story

The Law Offices of Heidi Romeo & Associates is a team of experienced family law attorneys practicing law in the Counties of San Bernardino, Los Angeles, Riverside and Orange. Our attorneys have extensive knowledge of California family law who seek to identify, from the onset of litigation, those cases that can settle without litigation from those that will require extensive research, strategy and/or litigation. We passionately defend our clients who are victims of domestic violence and vigorously defend those clients who have had to fight and disprove vile false allegations, particularly when it affects their relationship with their children, their jobs, their right to bear arms or the ultimate division of their assets.
We strive to maintain excellent relationships with all of our clients, who are from all over the United States, including Washington, D.C., New York, Alaska, Florida and Hawaii. To maintain steady, effective communication and excellent legal briefs, we maintain state of the art computers, software, a current legal library, a knowledgeable, friendly, accessible staff and a commitment to maintaining regular attendance in continuing education courses.
Heidi H. Romeo, Esq., has been in practice since 1995, and has been in private practice in the Inland Empire since 1999. She has resided in Southern California since 1974, after relocating from Chicago. Heidi has been happily married since 1992, and she has three children, ages 18, 14 and 11. Heidi worked full-time while attending college and law school. The firm's growth is due to her dedication and the deep love of the law and application of justice. She offers her clients the the unfortunate personal first-hand experience and understanding of domestic violence. Her father died when she was 19 and had three younger siblings, at which time her own family collapsed into chaos, welfare, instability and then, ultimately, the ability to understand the value of education, knowledge and hard work. Personally, she enjoys reading, travel, gardening, snow skiing, puzzle games, and participating in the activities of her children, which includes going to her son's Little League games, taking her daughter to her dance, singing and acting classes and auditions and gently introducing her 18-year-old daughter to adulthood and the acceptance of responsibilities associated with college and living away from home on campus. She instills in all of her children the value of education and the ability to understand that they each can accomplish whatever they want, as long as they apply themselves.

Brian D. Mitchell, Esq. has been in practice since 2006. Brian particularly enjoys practicing in the child support courts. Brian cites and refers to child support law from memory. Brian is a Board Member of the East-West Family Law Association. Brian is from Southern California and worked his way through college and law school. Brian is happily married and has two highly trained pure-bred German Shepherds, who were rescued.

Heidi and Brian work well together as a team, with one never leaving the office at night without the other, regardless of time. They support each other, communicate regularly to ensure that each client's needs are timely met, and they frequently have case strategy meetings. Both attorneys understand that, while all parties and attorneys involved in a case may know or have access to all of the same facts, it is the attention to detail, legal research, communication with clients and their witnesses, as well as taking the time to develop case management and strategy that sets the firm apart.
