I went into this store knowing absolutely nothing and they were extremely friendly and helpful! They went above and beyond to help me get just what I needed and at the best possible price! Would highly recommend them to anyone, especially beginners like me!

LPPF is the BEST! They have diverse products and services and they staff is SO cool and helpful. They also have the sweetest dog.

I went to Lawrence Photo because it was nearby, parking was easy, and I knew I would get quick, knowledgeable service. Plus I always like to shop local. I was not disappointed. The first time I stopped by a couple of weeks ago, I need a small item that I figured they wouldn't carry since it wasn't available at Radio Shack, and they didn't. However the owner was quite nice and easy to talk to. I returned today because I needed a strap that made it easier to lug around my camera in extreme (to me) conditions. I took my camera with me. Upon entering I was promptly greeted by the sweetest little dog, and within seconds the owner approached. He was kind, courteous and efficient. I identified myself as not an experienced photographer and he put me at ease. He interpreted my bumbling explanation of my needs and helped me get the right tool. Then he helped me attach it to my camera and try it out. He made some jokes and made the interaction pleasant. I was in and out in short order with exactly what I needed. Could I have paid a bit less by buying it on Amazon? Sure, but (a) I would've missed out on the expertise, and (b) I wouldn't have been shopping local. Online I easily could have bought the wrong product after spending 200% more time trying to figure out what I needed. I'm satisfied with the experience I had at Lawrence Photo and highly recommend it to anyone. They do museum-quality framing, too. Plus there's a cute dog who loves to have his ears scratched.
