Food is not made fresh. They do not allow you to dine in. Do not waste your time.
The food is BOMB!. Service is definitely 5 Food: 5/5
Great place with friendly staff and delicious food! The atchieke is too good! I will be back.
My absolute favorite "Go to place" for some Dibi and Plantain. Delicious and mouth watering onion sauce, Lamb is grilled to perfection, with the tantalizing sweetness of the plantain that just melts away in your mouth. I am a reliable customer and approve of them being one of the best African restaurants I know who never disappoints, especially when it comes down to consistency and good taste. Their unique touch on this particular dish is a 10 out of 10. Their speciality and best seller is the Dibi and Plantain I can assure you of that. I recommend and support this business 100%

The lamb is amazing! And SEASONED!!! The plantain is great! Always soft never dry. One thing I love about this place is that the food is consistently good! I never have to worry about getting spoiled or tasteless food.
Ok I hate to be that person, but I will be because that's what I do. I write honest restaurant reviews period. First off the Baobab used to be THE PLACE to go for the best attieke. Since the covid, the male chef never returned, a sad tragedy! A few months ago when my husband came from Africa he had heard of this place, so I decided to take him there. The appearance was embarrassing but I assured him "the food is fantastic." So we ordered their famous Tieke et poulet, sadly it was nowhere near the usual but I determined the original cook wasn't there so I decided not to judge too harshly. But on this past Wednesday hubby and I decided to give them a second chance. Again the appearance was that of a dilapidated rundown house and I should've turned around . And after seeing that they had peanut butter stew in the fridge I should've known that was laziness, cuz that's the easiest to make and does not need to be sitting for more than a day But we ordered attieke and chicken and grilled lamb anyway. To my dismay the original cook wasn't there again, but the ladies seemed nice. The food at the moment we picked it up was already lukewarm to touch which I found very surprising/alarming, so I made a comment to my husband regarding it. And when I ate the chicken and Tieke, and it was a small portionw a drumstick which I couldn't finish, at 7 months pregnant I Never vomit during my pregnancies, but I became so violently ill 5 minutes after eating their food!!! The chicken was undercooked w pink on the inside and the outside was as if someone threw the meat on a gas grill to blacken it. And the lamb was so dry and hard, you I just knew that lamb had been sitting in the fridge for days waiting to be microwaved. I was so sick and in so much pain, my whole body was shaking! I blacked out from 5p to 9pm!! Unbeknownst to my husband he went and ate the rest of the food so I had to nurse him back to health. Luckily my 7yo didn't get to eat it and was the only one who didn't get sick. So I say all of this to say eat at your own risk but I will not recommend this place to my frenemy!!!
Amazing amazing delicious freshly grilled food! Dibi grilled lamb and grilled chicken are just phenomenal. Service is also amazing. True hidden gem of a place Food: 5/5
A little hole-in-the-wall place, amazing food. Call an hour ahead because it takes them an hour to make the food but it’s some of the best African food I’ve ever had. I love the dibi with jollof rice and sweet plantains. The hour wait for the food is worth it!! The staff is very friendly
