Really solid food and drink menu. Priced quite high for dinner but the lunch prices are enticing. They do an exceptional job when it comes to service. As for the food, it is very good but frankly I've had better. The atmosphere here is great. I recommend sitting outside if you can.Food: 4/5
Very upscale and beautiful high end restaurant upstairs with stairs and elevator accesability with outdoor patio with view also available. Very good service and tasty French and Vietnamese fusion food. Strongly recommend shaking beef and cocktails are also amazing. Strongly recommend this restaurant for date nights and special occasions for romantic atmosphere.
Special day, or just relaxing evening great option. We had a few appetizers tuna tartar and avocado was perfect bursting with flavor the chips they used were amazing as well. We also had the chrispy vegetable roll ...I was worried it would be ideal but crunch with the sweet heat dip was a perfect balance to get taste buds warmed up. Get the soup as well it is amazing! Omg! I had their version of expresso martini that was slightly whipped... wow was it good! It could easily be a drink but was great with my meal as well. Dinner we had Lamb and medium rare, so tender and great flavor! Amazing attention to sauces that add to flavor for sure. We also had the catch of the day snapper , they did debone this at the table which was amazing...the breading on the out side was very light and tender crispy , the fish was very light perfectly done. This was easily one of the best fish dishes I have had. Flaky perfect with there sweet Asian sauce... and the green beans we ordered...stop! I could have just eaten them for dinner...careful you may get addicted ! We finally followed the dinner up with a coconut tapioca type banana pudding with Cream Anglaise...wow this was a perfect light finish to the dinner. What we didn't know the Snapper could easily be split with two...we took a lot of food home. Executive Chef Shuma Kuwamoto is worth meeting and knows how to surprise your tast buds. Wait staff very attentive atmosphere is exclusive. Vegetarian options: The staff was attentive to our wishes and diet options. The vegetarian options we had could have easily been a meal for us and where bursting with flavor.
We were celebrating my mom’s birthday, this spot was recommended by her friend. The restaurant is on the top floor and there are stairs as well as an elevator. Although I had a difficult time choosing what I wanted, I was very satisfied with the food. There was a great selection of chicken, lamb chops, beef, fish and tofu. My table ordered crispy veggie rolls, crispy brussel sprouts, the seared yellowfin tuna, green papaya salad, the crispy red snapper and double ginger mock-tails for our beverage. The flavors were amazing! Be mindful that many of the dishes are spicy! I was able to order my seared tuna non spicy. Many thanks Jeanne! She was our waitress and very attentive making sure we had enough water or a refill on our mock-tail. In honor of the occasion, we received vanilla crème brûlée with a sparkler. FYI, the dress code said business casual so I made sure we were dressed appropriately. When you google business casual, it means no jeans and there were a few people wearing jeans. Vegetarian options: Crispy vegetable roll, chilled vegetable roll, beet salad, tofu curry, Le colonial salat, green papaya salad, and crispy egg noodles with wok-seared leafy greens, soy shop organic tofu and soy ginger sauce.
This is a retro throwback, you feel like you’re transported back when dining was an experience. Excellent service and an excellent bar - try their barrel pick of makers - make for a great meal. Is it expensive? Sure - Vietnamese with a French flair can be had elsewhere. But this really IS good, and worthy of a splurge.Food: 5/5
Great drinks! Their lychee martini, pineapple martini is just great. Atmosphere is also excellent and lovely place to enjoy the night. I just hope they work on mastering their food. Food is just mediocre and they can do so much better if they could use more spices to be a bit more authentic. It is american/asian food. So much potential to better in my opinion. Oh btw, dont be afraid to order the fish, they will debone it for you
Service is great and the food is delicious. Food comes very quickly too! The shaking beef is a must. It’s a great place to celebrate an special occasion.Food: 5/5
Le Colonial in Atlanta is a gem of French Vietnamese cuisine. The food was absolutely fantastic, leaving us with a memorable dining experience. The fresh summer rolls were bursting with flavors and a perfect start to the meal as well as the chicken dumplings. The chicken stir fry was cooked to perfection, showcasing the delicate balance of spices and textures. The seared salmon was an absolute delight, with a melt-in-your-mouth tenderness. The restaurant managed to blend the best of French and Vietnamese culinary traditions flawlessly. The service was impeccable, and the ambiance added to the overall charm. The cocktails were also fantastic.
Our dining experience at the Le Colonial was delightful. Despite the rain, the restaurant's ambiance lifted our spirits. The French Vietnamese cuisine was exquisite and the service was fantastic! A reservation is preferred; otherwise, you’ll be seated in the bar section and there could be a wait for a table.Food: 5/5
I really liked my overall experience at this restaurant. The service was amazing, and the atmosphere was great. The only negatives I had was that the duck could be of a higher quality and the ribs a bit more tender. The deserts and cocktails were both to die for, though!Food: 4/5
